Blinking clouds after patch 5

I think they forget about that!

If that, it will be so bad for me .. because i can’t upgrade my laptop GPU
Hope they can fix it, because everything work perfectly except the clouds, and it was working well before

There is another thread with lost of info about this issue

Unfortunately that’s exactly what they said in that support request, that the already specified minimum requirements are not effective anymore and that they will keep shifting as they are patching the simulator at a continuous rate.

Unless they change their mind, the GTX 950 (desktop) would now be the new minimum requirement.

Bad news, maybe it’s time for new PC
Anyway, Thank you for your efforts

Yeah. I am very disappointed with the way they see it, but it is what it is. It makes me feel a bit silly for purchasing a Premium Deluxe copy two weeks ago knowing that I won’t be able to upgrade my GPU for several months.

I will continue letting people know about the cause of this issue, and hopefully more will stand up against their stance on the problem. I will also continue with my Zendesk reports, until I realise it’s a lost cause and that there’s no hope of those GPUs being supported again. Or maybe they will reconsider at some point. Maybe.

Pretty solid customer experience on Asobo’s part
lol. Get a bunch of people to buy a game on one set of reqs and then move the bar a mere 10 weeks later. I’ve also seen a lot of folks on the other end of the spectrum today that are saying their top end machines look worse now, like it’s been watered down after the fact. I hope this isn’t an XBox thing, like they’re trying to optimize it for that platform. That is not going to be their continuing market on this game, in my opinion.

I have the same problem.

Windows 10 64-bit (Build 19041)
Intel Core i7-6700HQ
RAM 16GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB (Driver V. 27.21.14.5709)

I have some problem since installation patch 5 and update driver Graphics Card (750ti) before works it fine with stable fps.

GRRRRRRR Just bought MS Flight SIM today !! Same problem !! please solve this !!! BAck in the days I also had bought a MS Smartphone flagship 950XL , also for the trashbin . I’ve had it .. I demand a solution asap :rage: :rage: :rage:

Make sure to send a Zendesk report about this problem. The more people that send reports, the bigger the chances of the developers changing their stance on older GPUs.

My comment aubot this forum reply as a GTX770 owner : “Huere Tschumpel” then keep my system frozen in the state it was three days ago and don’t bother me with your mandatory upates anymore!!

I have GTX860M 4GB. Facing the same problem too
Every thing goes fine , but when I press Esc key to go back to settings screen where I change the graphics settings or keyboard or controls and go back again to the scenery, the clouds stutter starts. I see it as a separate layer being partially shifted off screen with the stuttering behavior.
This problem started after patch 5

Same problem. Solution should be something other than “go buy a new system”. Everything was running fine for me before this patch. Even with a GTX Titan, I was getting a solid 30 FPS in GA flying, just about every where. Can’t believe this can’t be fixed?

Seems to be a growing number of people with the same problem. Can we get a fix, instead of just writing us off?

The sad truth is, that us Kepler and Maxwell 1.0 users represent a tiny, if not pretty much non-existent fraction of the userbase. Since those GPUs are about 5-8 years old now, it is safe for them to write it off as a compatibility issue since they won’t be missing anything.

While the amount of reports is certainly quite large, you can be rest assured that everyone who is affected will be reporting this because it’s such a major visual glitch that renders the game unplayable. It is not a small bug that you can safely ignore until it’s fixed in the next patch, and just upvote the relevant thread in the meantime. This makes the issue seem more widespread than it really is.

Asobo have been listening to the community ever since the simulator’s announcement, which is why I followed its development with such great interest. This is the first time I felt truly disappointed in their response and I certainly did not expect that. I will continue to fight for this issue unless I realise that it’s a lost cause and that the only way to escape it is to upgrade. Which will not be until several months later for me and it makes me sad I will not be able to truly enjoy the simulator until then

GTX770 was listed in minimum system requirements (which I read before purchasing). Not fair to “obsolete” it within 2-1/2 months after release!! Would be really bad form!

Well spoken and I fear you are probably correct. I guess I was hopeful this was a “glitch” that could be fixed. I’m going to keep pushing as well, as I’d like to squeeze just a bit more life out of the old rig. Anyone want two RTX Titans, cheap?

I still have hope they will address it. That reply to a single user doesn’t seem to have been replicated elsewhere (including to myself; I submitted a Zendesk bug two days ago).

I’ll wait for official comms before deciding for sure they’ll be obsolete. But I won’t be surprised if it’s the case

People with this problem, 452.06 is the latest stable Nvidia driver for your cards. Try uninstalling the recent drivers you have and install 452.06 to see if it solves the problem. I recommend a clean install.
