The long-awaited Sim Update X has been out for a day now, and we are paying close attention to your feedback. If you missed the initial announcement, you can click here to see the release notes, and you can comment and vote in our forum polls here. Once again, we thank everyone who helped test Sim Update X over the last ten weeks.

Speaking of beta testing, moving forward we will be handling the transition in and out of our betas a little bit differently. In short, beta users will remain in the beta testing group to automatically join the next beta when it goes live. Please see our post here for more information on this transition, and how to opt in/out.

Finally, several members of the MSFS Team were in attendance at the 2022 Reno Air Races last week where a fatal incident occurred during the Jet Class Gold race. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of pilot Aaron Hogue. Our hearts are with everyone who has been impacted by this tragedy.

September 24 is recognized as Constitution Day in Cambodia, a public holiday to celebrate the transformation to a modern constitutional monarchy system of government in 1993. In Cambodia, Constitution Day is an occasion to reflect on the country’s history and have optimism for the future. Friday’s flight plan will see the group depart from Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city, and end near the Hindu-Buddhist temple complex of Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest religious complex in the world.

Arriving in the in-sim Marketplace this week is the Airbus A319ceo from developer LatinVFR. The A319 is a smaller member of Airbus’s A320 family of short-to-medium haul narrowbody jetliners. Due to its versatility and common type rating with the A320, the A319 has been a very popular choice with airlines since its introduction in 1995. The Microsoft Flight Simulator version of the Airbus A319ceo from LatinVFR comes with over 50 liveries from 44 real-world operators. YouTuber AviationLads recently posted a preview video of the A319. Check it out!
