What a great present that will be

I missed that, what date?

9/17 but that’s tentative still

I’m still afraid about the sound. I really hope the sound will be authentic to the real plane or at least as close as possible.

I saw something that said the 5th on Facebook today, but that may have been old.

As per the development roadmap from July 25th is tomorrow (tentative).

That Roadmap is outdated and comes from when Sim Update 16 was tentatively planned to release on 09/05. In the August Developer Livestream, Jorg announced that SU16 is postponed until 2025 and we are releasing Aircraft & Avionics Update 3 in September instead.

The revised target for the Boeing 707 is now 9/17. The plane itself is complete and has received sign-off for release, but we want to launch it with some liveries that weren’t available at the time of the August Livestream (8/14).

Thanks,
MSFS Team

I’m 100% sure Pan Am will be a livery.
I hope to get Omega Tankers so we can operate the plane in the real world! Please!

I am afraid you won’t get a real world copy of the 707 with this purchase.

Pan Am will be in the liveries.

I’m pretty sure because of the popularity of this plane, all possible liveries will become alive on flightsim.to one day or another. So don’t worry about that.

Hi guys.

The main reason why I’m so excited to get this Boeing 707 is very simple. I’m flying flight simulator since 1984 (40 years) and the B707 is my beloved airplane since 1969 as I was 9 years old with the Airport movie and in real life next to that. After checking my logbook prior to write this, I flew the B707 over 1500 hours and NEVER EVER I had a 3D cockpit nor a passenger cabin of this plane. You understand my excitement to get all this. It’s not only a plane, it’s a souvenir for me and I’m so eager to sit in the plane looking the engines by the window ! That will be a so great experience to me. Finally at 64 years old now, I’ll be able to fly a complete B707. It’s a dream come true !

I’m a bit younger than you, but this is how I feel about the DC-8. A good 707 will be a fine stand-in though

Mate… A dc8 in this livery would be absolutely epic…

On that note… What is the general consensus on the dc8 vs 707… And especially in the context of "famous fliers.. "

I get the feeling that the dc8 was seen to be the poor man’s/working class version of the glamorous 707 but outlived it big time…

Maybe more historical meaning in the dc8 vs 707… Hint hint Asobo…

I love the DC-8 but the 707 is certainly a much more ā€œfamous flyerā€ and lots of them are still flying today thanks to its military versions (KC-135, E-3, E-6, etc.)

Oh yeah, this livery is absolutely beautiful for the DC8. I love too the DC8 especially the DC8-55 like this one you shown because of the engines type.
