BravoAirspace 787-8

Yes, long range. I normally do not have black screens but the sim runs slower during take off and landing which is no no for me or have those annoying micro-stutters at frequent intervals.

Hello, thanks for the feedback and response. Coming from a DEV, it’s an important point of view. It’s clear that Asobo should treat consoles differently than PCs are treated. I believe that equalizing the experiences on both platforms is not a good idea. I mean, consoles should have a more simplified and comprehensive experience, whether due to hardware limitations, audience preferences or whatever. As you said, Jorg is aware and the whole team is aware, we can only make noise. For now, all I do is flirt with the 787-8 in my hangar. Hahahhaha thanks for the work, it’s really excellent and I hope to have the 787-9 soon.

@EdilGenova
If you plan to use MSFS 2024 in the future, the plane works at least 80% more efficiently then in MSFS 2020.

Landing at a heavy 3rd party airport (MSFS2024) with real world traffic On and in the 787-8 optimized model, at this moment, it’s working as it should in the sim. Which in MSFS 2020 the odds are getting lower and lower these days.

[MSFS2024] In SU3 it’s working even better. We installed the plane and Glideslope Pro KMIA (not streamed) and it’s pretty good for an XBOX S. Better visuals too. If you’re on an XBOX X, it’s going to be even more smoother.

Thank you very much for your patience. These developments aren’t honestly truly complete until a large number of you guys use it and report back. Not even a team of 10 humans (our beta testers) can test the plane to its fullest. But we’ve learned tremendously on what not to do on our next projects.

It’s in my plans. I tested it via Game Pass a few months ago but I didn’t like the interface (I found it too complicated, I don’t know how it is now). It’s good to know that, I’ll download it again and test it via Game Pass with this beta! Thanks for the tip!

Ok, I bought it (MSFS2024, PC) and I like it. IMHO you can’t have a better B787 in MSFS2024 at the moment because for me it’s superior to the Horizon mod - it seems to hand-fly better (the aircraft definitely feels heavier) and I love the sounds. I’ve never cared about cabins but I took a tour and it looked fine too. If they’re really commited to keep on working on this it will be just awesome and kind of a substitute for the probably-never-happening QualityWings B787.

The only area where I’m struggling is the EFB. I couldn’t make the Simbrief OFP import work till I realized that ā€œSimbrief usernameā€ input field under the profile icon is actually Simbrief ID (Simbrief username didn’t work for me). Also it says that my Navigraph status is ā€œconnectedā€ but when I go to Navigraph page I can’t view any charts and it gives me a code to use on Navigraph website to approve this EFB to show data for me but Navigraph always says that code is not valid anymore. Also the whole Service page doesn’t seem to work. Clicking on any button there doesn’t do anything. But besides that I don’t regret buying this addon.

Have not flown the 787-8 for a looong time (even the Asobo one) but did today and I can’t get this 2 warnings to disappear. Is it a bug? Or something else?

Also those 3 second interval stutters when loading a complex flight plan are awful.

Check the aircon/pax for the temp
And for the door there is a switch next to the pilots chair. If that doesn’t work maybe check the EFB as you can play with the doors

I am totally confused about the BravoAirspace 787. I have the MSFS 2024 Asobo 787 and purchased the BravoAirspace but after purchasing it says 2020 and I see nothing when I select it. Is this operational and is there a simple guide to make it work in 2024?

Oh, I get a Red warning that I need the Asobo 2020 Version installed…

Oh2, I went back to my Library and saw I had the 2020 version ā€œunverifiedā€ under my Premium Delux 2020.

So, I installed it and it said it would conflict with 2024.

I think I have to reboot. Success! Back to 2020!!!

FYI this is a CapFrameX profile of a coupled AP ILS into SFO with minimal stutters. Last 3000’. My standard test flight.

I only seem to have two liveries?

Enable the 2020 version of the 787 in my library. You should see more than 2 liveries there is a stack for each variant 8 and 9

Yeah I checked the temp, it was set to auto but and in the AIR page in the MFD was set to 24 degC but measured temperature was ā€œ-20 degCā€ in the ground (outside temp was 32 degC), went to normal at cruise. Maybe has to do with the units (I have it set to hybrid).

The FD door switch next to the chair is not simulated, I will try the EFB but is pretty unresponsive while using the cursor…

Anyways the performance is pretty bad, similar to the Asobo 787 unless there is a simple flight plan loaded.

i think for the FD is on the overhead panel towards the back side middle ish , there is a button .

I remember now. I think that’s the one called FD DOOR POWER close to the emergency lights switch. Thanks

No problem

Thanks, found it an like some of the new liveries for the 2024 787 the one for UAL I chose gave me an over-VRAM warning. I have a 5080 so this took some creativity. I think there is a simpler version. Welcome to SFO, or Fog City.

Modified title, since the aircraft is now available.

I know one is free and the other costs 20 Euro but in terms of flight model and modelling, which one is better?

Haven’t used it (Bravo Airspace) as I enjoy the Horizon.

That said, the fact that if you do a search on BA 787 and there is literally only 2 threads (yours is one of them, the other is a CTD) is probably telling.

A quick Google Search also will probably help guide you to a decision (and probably towards teh Horizon).

There’s a thread about Bravo Airspace 787 with 150+ posts:

BravoAirspace 787-8 coming soon? - Discussion Hub / Aircraft - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

Why the OP didn’t change the title when it was released a long time ago is another thing.

To be honest I was curious and bought the Bravo version (it’s cheap) and I fly it in MSFS2024 from time to time as I like it better than Horizon’s mod. I like how it flies, the sounds, there’s also a cabin, it has a modern EFB and they keep on updating it.
