It depends on the latitude, try the Finland bush trip and you will see the issue.
Well, quite honestly quite a few of these things are such that you would not even notice them unless you read about them in the forums. Or you might, but you could easily live with them. Only when you come here and see people constantly complaining about things you start to think the game is somehow broken. I am now unfortunately also spending most of my time checking these reports and how they look in-game, instead of just flying and enjoying.
With this one you couldnât. The world looks disgusting with the trees being rendered only so close and the scenery looking like garbage beyond that. It is worse than P3D.
And if you descend even more you will see more trees. Go to 3000ft AGL and youâll see the treeline. Thereâs no point for these screenshots taken so close to ground.
And the screenshot in 3000ft AGL? I like how you take a screenshot so close to the trees and next shot is so high and pixelated that canâs see anything.
Here you go, as requested (my bad, I thought you understood physics when you said I was too low in my first screen shot):
I donât think there is any tree draw distance reduction in anywhere but peopleâs minds. There clearly is a difference between LOD 2.0 and LOD 4.0, but not quite sure how that would be a bug?
LOD 2.0 is 5nm and LOD 5.0 is 7nm in WU6. After WU5 they were 10nm and 15nm. Can you provide location where you were flying in above screenshots, and which LOD setting you have?
Just pick any spot over the Amazon, you can see I am just south of the river itself. LOD setting is 2.0. I mean if you log a but about tree draw distance, the only places to verify it are those where IRL there are trees enough to go into the horizon.
Make sure you vote at the top of this post.
Lets get this issue escalated in priority. Iâm tired of these blurry LOD textures and low radius draw distances.
I wish they would just add a vegetation slider / dropdown box. 5nm being the low end, 50nm+ being top end. I want the option to have it draw to the horizon.
Yeah thatâs exactly what we need
This issue depends on the latitude. You canât see this issue near equator. Try to fly for example in Finland and you can see issue.
Why donât we just get sliders for most graphical features so we can hit the sweet spot of our own PCâs capabilitiesâ or personal preferences.
No need to go that far. Just fly a bit around Hamburg or Paderborn in Germany. Even the estimated 5nm Radius around the player´s plane seems too optimistic to me ^^
So please vote,vote,vote.
2 more examples. The more you go further south, the more will the drawing circle around increase. both shots taken around Heidelberg, South germany. Compared to my previous screenshots, this time the drawing distance is increased around 1/3. When this bug is fixed, I´m also for seperate tree/vegetation slider. Let the user decide how much load his PC can handle.
just noticed this as flown up to north where is more obvious, but glad to see the bug already logged
Just had a flight in Finland and seen it for myself, absolutely incredibly baffling that this bug has been allowed to re-enter the code base.
This is so poor Asobo/MS; constant regressions, clearly no testing done prior to the World Update release, having to constantly rely on the community to inform YOU of issues that YOU shouldâve dealt with.
For the thousandth time: QUALITY CONTROL, PLEASE.
