C152X Realism Mod

No, and I have not assigned anything on the controllers to start the engine, apart from the mixture lever.
I’m using the mouse to turn the starter on.

Did you turn on the battery? Can you turn on the external lights ?
The only thing that prevents the starter to operate is the man battery switch, if it is on in should crank.

Battery ON, confirmed by gauge going ON. But the radios but start up. I haven’t tested the external lightning.
As I said, same on a real plan, I would say that the battery doesn’t have enough voltage left for the starter. But I just loaded the plane in the sim…

Very strange, not seen this behavior, do you have other mods installed ?

Yes, but not for the 152. I can’t see anything interacting with it.
I will try removing everything from the community folder but the C152X.

I emptied the “community” folder, and test again. Same behavior.
I’ve done a short video :

Thanks for your help.

Ye you do not have power, your battery switch did not turn on power, no idea how it happened. You could try assigning a key to batter switch and turn it on with it. Also try what happens if you load on runway, shut it down and try to start it again.

Technically, the master switch is ok : look at the fuel gauge, and listen to the gyro when I switch it on
But it looks like there is not enough power for radio, external lights and starter.

The behavior is the same if I start engine running and cut it off. Radios go down, external light too, and I can’t start the engine again.

As far as I know everything electrical is in the systems.cfg check if it is the correct one, also the apron.flt defines what systems are on or off when you start on the ramp.

My guess is that something is not right with one of those.

Hey guys

@DRF30q

The C152X mod in the community folder prevents the content manager to load now.

I haven’t tried a flight though

Thanks… I had the same problem with the C152X mod blocking content manager

Same problem here

I ran a couple of quick circuits and had no issues flying with the C152X mod. Also found that content manager fails to load with the mod in the community folder.
(update)
Looks like there are multiple community mods that prevent the content manager from loading but not sure what the actual issue is. For now you can remove your mods to access content manager and then move back any mods that you wish to use.

Volume on Com2 is not working for me it looks like. Its stuck on 0, I can turn on the radio and I see the tetx so it is working but can’t hear anything like it is muted, Com1 works fine.

Edit, NM its something with the ATC window and the MIC select buttons, things are getting messy if I want to talk to center and on traffic as well. I worked before patch …

Same here. The mod is still “flyable” though. Moved all mods out to pinpoint the C152X as the culprit.
Greetings.

FYI, there is a new .017 release with an updated json file that fixes the Content Manager issue.

Changelog:
[0.17] - 2020-10-14 Corrected manifest.json

I’ve noticed with the latest 1.9.5. patch that having the C152X mod no longer causes the C172 Steamer’s GNS units to not turn on! yay!

With the latest patch 1.9.5.0 The C152X mod installed in the community folder prevents the content manager to load now. (Content empty).

Is this still happening with the latest update to the mod (V0.17)?

with the latest update mod (V0.17), content is now visible again, did a short test flight and the mod v0.17 seems to work ok for me . Thanks for this excellent modification!
