Yes, I am seeing the interior turn pink on the last 2 zoom levels(via mouse wheel). Never saw at prior to SU5.
Sure, this mod isnât up to date, so there are maybe compatibility âproblems.
As I already said there will be a lot of problems even within the g1000, cause there are a lot of changes.
I donât got enough time to check what has changed yet.
Maybe I can do a update next week.
No, there will maybe a separate version for this, if needed.
But youâre right, they will not work well together, cause the doing the same thing.
Sure a mod can cause CTDs if it is not compatible.
I had also a lot of CTD without any mod in SU5.
But I havenât tested yet, with the actual hot fix.
MS recommended to update without any mods to SU5.
Iâm not saying this mod causes CTDâs cause I have CTDâs now without any mod running but I can reproduce some of those CTDâs.
As far as the Caravan goes I normally use 2 mods, one is a sound mod and of course this mod. After the hotfix both mods cause CTDâs which I canât reproduce. One moment it works, next flight before I get off the ground ends up in a CTD.
I didnât want to say that either
Maybe I can solve some CTDs with an update of the mod. But since the update, it costs me a lot of time to get this game back to work even without mods, so I couldnât really work on the mod.
I hope the new hot fix make things not worse than before ![]()
Except for the pink ⊠no CTDâs at all for me ( g1000 nxi )
Did 5 1 hour flights sofar with no issues at all
It might easily be the standard Caravan that causes the CTDâs. As I said, no mods and the standard also crashes at random. You can fly with it for hours, next flight a CTD. I also read the standard A320 can also cause CTDâs. Maybe wait a few days to see what Microsobo will do.
Thanks for the reply! I hope you are able to implement it at some point as I understand there have been significant improvements to the G1000
One thing you might want to look at is your live traffic settings. This can cause random CTDâs. CTD With AI Traffic Enabled - Bugs & Issues / Install, Performance & Graphics - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
I forked and pushed some proposed changes to this mod. Iâve been flying with these edits for a while now and really like them. ZERO seat time in a real 208, so some of the edits might not be ârealisticâ but they make the plane more flyable from my chair at least.
Summary:
Engine.cfg â Get the Oil Temp working. Proposed by @BubblyDruid56, works really well.

Reduce Rudder Trim Effectiveness, allow for more precise adjustments. Still, PLENTY of authority here could go lower. But now I can toss in a few clicks on the yoke and not way over trim the plane.
OLD
rudder_trim_effectiveness = 1.5
NEW
rudder_trim_effectiveness = 1
Even with 2, almost no rudder input needed on a full power take-off felt to âstraight-linedâ, helped a little. Feels ârightâ now..
OLD
rudder_engine_wash_on_roll = 2.0 ; Torque effect
NEW
rudder_engine_wash_on_roll = 2.2 ; Torque effect
Discovery flights or POI flights popping in at 12K feet, dropped this to 1500ft.
OLD
spawn_cruise_altitude = 12000 ; Spawn Cruise Altitude (ft)
NEW
spawn_cruise_altitude = 1500 ; Spawn Cruise Altitude (ft)
Itâs good, we should work together with @MagrainaOne , to avoid putting hands in camboui
Agree, otherwise we have bits and pieces all over the place
To resolve the Pink interior when zoomed out externally add this to the end of the texture.cfg located in the liveryâs texture folder:
fallback.11=..\..\..\..\texture\Planes_Generic
Make sure to change the fallback number to suit.
Did nothing for me!
Iâve reverted to the vanilla Caravan for now. Is there a simple aircraft.cfg fix to enable the yaw damper?
somehow the vanilla cockpit is downgraded in SU5.
we can no longer be able to switch the seatbelt and no smoking sign switches. (and a few other switches)
this would also impact to the mods.
My apologies, I referred to the wrong texture.cfg file. You need to add it to the texture.cfg file in the liveryâs texture folder. Just make sure to change the fallback number to suit.
I have edited my original post to reflect this.
After the latest hotfix I only had 1 CTD and that was the first try. After that no CTDâs anymore. So I decided after a few flights with no CTDâs to reinstall this mod. After hitting the âFlyâ button immediately a CTD.
Edit: I removed the mod and now again a CTD. Will this ever endâŠ
