Thank you so much for taking the time to help Asobo debug and fix the C208 (along with many others). It’s something Asobo should have done properly from the start. If not for generous people like you making mods, many people wouldn’t be flying this sim at all.

Fantastic, and good job putting this up on Github.

Again if you’re happy, I’ll get this incorporated into NoPod ASAP.

One question:
How can I modify the postion of the tail number? It would be nice, if it is behind the windows on the fuselage

Is it me or does this mod bring the log book issue on shut down? Not doing it on default A/C.

@Parorng any chance still for C208B on floats? I was hoping Asobo would bring it, but it does not really seems like they will ever do.

I’m trying to! :sob:

Blender giving me much grief just as the sim updates and SDK seem to have become usable!

Sigh…

Then there’s this:
Known Issues:
Aircraft .gltf will not compile with the latest update

  • 2 months trying to get this stuff going in the sim again

There no one who can help in the SDK forum or developer forum?
Now I can see why it has not been released, what a shame because it looks beautiful on your screens.

Blender export support has been left stagnant for a while.

Last MSFSToolkit update was in Sept 2020, there’s a slightly newer version, but these now are both giving me install traceback errors.

The FBW one was manged by Pepperoni, but he’s stepped back for a bit, rightfully, as I feel he burnt himself out on it.

I did see Asobo sniffing around at Blender support, so hopefully that’s a good sign!

(Also personal issues: Had to change country to be back with my family who I hadn’t seen for 18 months due to lockdowns here, so enjoying time with them. etc etc.)

I’d look at getting into Max, but not at a $200 a month sub

I have tested this. I would be interest to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. The log book entry screen popping up during the shut down process was corrected in SU7 so that it no longer does that. However, with this mod, it happens again. I had flown the stock 208 for a few days prior to the release of the mod. As soon as I added the mod the issue reemerged. Remove the mod, problem goes away.

Anyone else by chance?

Is it me or does reverse thrust seem less powerful? At the default load, 50% fuel, and with both pilot, and co-pilot, it used to be possible for the Caravan to move itself backwards, but not any more.

Is the condition lever full forward?

Yep. Checking the VC lever by eye it is fully aft. I don’t think it’s likely that every time I have tried it I have been trying to reverse up a hill.

It’s definitely working in that I can hear it has gone into reverse, and my landing roll is shortened etc., but it won’t move backwards from a standing start. It feels like the unmodded Caravan, in that respect.

I’ll check again shortly, perhaps spawning on a large airports ramp next.

EDIT: Checked on a large airports ramp, and I was able to move the p,and backwards from a standstill. It was either a slope I was trying to reverse up before, or it was wind related.

How do you engage reverse? The last update broke various methods of engaging reverse. If you use the “decrease thrust” workaround, it engages only around 50% of the reverse.

Purely axis driven. I believe the axis to bind is the 0 - 100% one. Then put your throttle where you want the idle point to be, probably tricky if your throttle doesn’t have an idle detent, then adjust the “Neutral” point in sensitivity so that the dot rests on the centre horizontal line.

Everything below that line will be forward thrust, everything above to the top right is reverse thrust. No buttons are necessary, just the axis.
