Can’t get past the “checking for updates” screen this morning guys. I’ve tried everything, resetting my modem, restarting the console, I got network offline issue warnings and now its defunct. I can’t use the SIM. Anybody else this morning…??

Oh boy, then its just me then. Here we go, reinstall again. It started after I tried to turn on Bing Mapping after the network issue warning. Both my consoles (S, X) same thing.

Same here in Germany. At the first try I was asked if I own the game. Now I tried to start it from Microsoft store and there isn’t even any reaction at all. It just won’t start
Same here won’t even load at all now just instantly crashes
Good to hear it’s not just me cause I just finished fiddling around with my monitor settings to get rid of my gsync flickering problem and thought I messed something up
I hate when that happens and you have that instant panic that you’ve broken something lol but rest assured it’s not just you
Must be a server issue although all online services appear to be functioning normally.
Can’t even browse the store. Everything is empty. I click on something and get blank screens. I’m getting so sick of this. PS5 is coming out with a SIM I think I might investigate that. I’m laid off for the summer and was expecting to SIM all day today because of stormy weather and wouldn’t you know it, everything isn’t working. Just great.
God help us when 2024 is released.
Yeah I feel you, today is one of those days off work for me where I can just chill and sim, and it’s becoming more and more frequent where these sort of problems are preventing people from playing, frustrating as you say
I think there’s something up with the Azure platform. Lots of people reporting outages with Microsoft services on DownDetector

Same here in UK.
Ran a Steam integrity check on the game files, which actually got me past the hanging update to an update, which was painfully slow to download.
After an hour I eventually got to game menu and launched a flight and the load screen has been completed, but after 45 mins I’m still staring at the load screen.
I’m guessing servers are to blame.
Just so you’re aware, as I understand it, a Steam integrity check on MSFS will always cause it to re-download half the sim! So most people avoid checking it unless they’re 100% sure there’s a problem
Same here. Tried resyncing time - no effect.
Tried the trick that worked in the past - turning off the internet, the system then carried on loading BUT the blue loading line got to about 90% and then stopped - waited about 20 minutes and then gave up.
same here in Belgium right now (12:30 UTC). Stuck on Checking for Updates screen. Oh well, it is what it is. Just have to sit it out I guess until the Azure issues are resolved.
