I would expect crashes and core functionality would get priority.
I hope Career Mode does get some attention soon, workarounds only go so far.
Just got my Turboprop licence. The Grand Caravan flies nice. I’m using ‘double fuel’ cover just in case (On Xbox HOTAS).
I add 25% fuel on the stand when it’s a mid to long trip. With ‘Repair and Refuel’ as a backup in case of failure. (I really like double-key HOTAS bindings [B3]+[B] fuel - [B4]+[B] Repair, I don’t want to be fumbling for my controller).
I can get in (TBM 930, H145, C172 in three companies) but it is messed up. The last plane I flew was a TBM930 which no longer spawns missions and none of the maintenance or crew management buttons work for it. The other aircraft appear and have normal menus.
As an aside, the PC-12 is now showing up for medical missions, but the pressurization system doesn’t work so you pass out and fail the mission at normal cruise altitudes after about 30 minutes.
For me, Career mode seems to work fine. I have 1 company, 3 planes (2 Cessna 172 and 1 Cessna Caravan). Just flew a medium cargo mission with Caravan after the update. I have no Crew on for the 172s.
I don’t think it’s because of C172. When I enter the Career mode, I see now fully working insurance screen with break down of the costs and not some missing text like {NUIMBER}. I think this is the place where many people crash (just before the insurance popup should show). They made some change to the insurance that was not in the patch notes. I think only Asobo can fix this.
The PC 24 remains unusable in career mode after the latest patch. Engines don’t start, the right engine switch is not responding and the engine fire lights remain on as well. There are so many issues with this product, it shows poor management and misleading / deceptive practices at Asobo have not been resolved. Placing blame on the diristribution CDK or whatever is simply a cop out. This speaks directly to the management and oversight. There is no way this should have been released until it works 100%. Maybe it’s greed, maybe it’s just folks in high positions who have stopped caring about the sim, I do not know. But we need new leadership to guide this launch and oversight at this point. The present leadership is lacking and failing miserably. I would start firing those at the top and replacing them with someone with the knowledge to provide the expected results. The 2024 sim has a lot of potential but it’s being completely wasted with these results. Heads need to roll over this complete failure.
I had a look in Career Mode earlier and there appear to be several improvements. I’m at Level 51, so Career Mode hasn’t been unplayable for me (after Day 4).

Career Server seems to have crashed again (Germany). It went down yesterday evening and there was a message that career mode would not be available. Looks like its going to be the same tonight…
So many bugs, so many errors. Quickly becomes a forgetable adventure. Maybe in 6 months when they get all the code straightened out. Now it is just a massive dose of frustration.
Again 20+ minutes loading time for a cargo career flight. I though that the morning time in Germany would be better, as the servers might not be overloaded, but alas…The only way to stop the loading is by shutting down the SIM completely and having to wait for a restart. No option to end flight and try again. Very frustrating still. Why did it run better, before the big update?? Very frustrating…
Having 277hrs under my belt with very fee issues I am now experiencing ctd on every career mission. Sometimes at the beginning while taxiing or on initial climb but worst of all when about to complete a flight a while preparing to approach after a full and long flight.
Tempted to do an uninstall and re install.
However I dont want to loose all my controller config setting. How can I save them and reinstall after.
