So opened up the game today, noticed the problem from last night was fixed great, hopped in career mode I was excited and noticed a bug at first there was infinite loading screen on the getting started in the career mode the tutorial flight I had to alt+F4 out of the game that fixed it after passing my PPL license I went on to do my first proper flight in career mode called “The first Flight” I am now struggling to get into first it was the infinite loading screen upon accepting mission after a few ALT+F4 out of the game I can now not accept the mission and I am not stuck on doing nothing, this needs to be resolved ASAP as this is a big part of the game and what alot of people want to play.

Same here, sometimes after crashing out with alt f4 multiple times and reloading the sim and trying again, it eventually works. I restarted my pc and the next attempt worked, but may have been coincidence. I have CPL now but it took many attempts to successfully get into the exam. PPL worked first time for me. I haven’t been able to successfully load into any of the CPL training lessons.
I got a “unexpected” error in the career training after getting my PPL and now ALL my progress is lost and I have to start over. Thanks, but no thanks. Will try again in 6 months.
Anyone else getting it where in the first ever cutscene when the instructor says lets get familiar with the aircraft etc, and then you are just put on the taxiway with no objectives at all. I’ve even thoroughly completed the checklists, flown a circuit and still nothing. I’ve restarted my game multiple times too to which does not work. I literally can’t even start the career.
I suspect it’s all tied in with the server issues.
Day 1 I couldn’t get into the sim.
Day 2 I could barely get into career mode before it crashed
Day 3 I’ve completed my introductory flight but it was straining
It stuck when I started career mode. First, I had the chance to select an airport. After starting, it stuck at the beginning of the intro. You only see an ATC tower; that’s it.
OK, I may have figured out why this is happening. Maybe others in here can help me confirm.
I think the reason we’re getting stuck inside the cockpit on the career mode is because our character is stuck as the red error man… and because our character is stuck as the red error man the game is having an issue spawning our character outside of the cockpit so we can’t do the walk around before entering the plane so it bugs out and spawns us inside the aircraft instead.
Confirm if you have the red error man by clicking your username at the top right of the main menu screen of the simulator, then click customize identity and see if you have this guy:
Annoyingly, I cannot change my character appearance because the sim with crash to desktop and there’s no way to reset your character as far as I know so we’re stuck with this stupid error man character.
Until there’s a fix for this error character, I don’t think we’re going to be able to play the career mode.

Red character with error symbol cause problems in career mode and you can’t customize character because every action on customize screen (when red character is visible ) = crash to desktop.
To add to this, it isn’t just career mode that red error man breaks. It’s ANY flight or activity that starts with your character outside of the aircraft.
For example, even when spawning in free flight at a gate you will get stuck in the aircraft like this. The only way to spawn in free flight is either mid air or directly on the runway.
Anyone here successful yet? Hopped on this morning, said career was locked as they were doing maintenance on it thanks to the issues, but as soon as it unlocked nothing changed for me.
it’s unplayable for a myriad of other reasons as well.
Don’t fly the beaver! You get a max flaps speed warning IMMEDIATELY on the taxiway when you aren’t even moving which looks to affect your final score.
The helicopter missions…super broke!
There’s some weird autotrim thing and engine thing that kicks in on flightseeing but also skydiver missions. Super annoying! The trim automatically kicks up to like 25% up nose and fights you trying to set it down. Doesn’t stop until you throw an AOA warning. Wondering if i’m missing some “assists” thing but i have it on “real”
The credit payouts don’t make ANY sense. For cargo it shows i’ll get 4000 credits but on finish i get like 690. For Flightseeing i get the full amounts, no clue why.
the list goes on and on and on! I’m level 25 but…it has NOT been easy!
For the past 3 days i have tried to open career mode on xbox series S. For the past 3 days the career mode has not loaded with wait times exceeding an hour during multiple attempts per day. Yesterday MS had a message that they were working on the issue and carrer mode was actually locked out. A couple hours later career mode was unlocked. No changes with the issue of carrer mode not opening.
I was having a problem with Career missions not loading at all. it would zoom in on the map a little and get stuck there. After messing around for a while, I choose the blank option for co pilot in the identity options on your profile and it started to load in just fine. Hopes this helps someone.
