Coming soon (yes please) -
An interesting choice but I’m here for it - now we need Skywagon University to give us a rundown of this model year’s specifics.
is that official? where did you get the information?
I don’t need more GA craft but this takes me right back to FS5
Carenado’s been posting it on their Facebook page. I found it last night in my own feed.
Always wanted a 182RG… but that red/brown interior is U-G-L-Y. Is there an upholster at Carenado, can we get a few different seat options?
I gotta be honest , I love it. Straight out of the 70s
I really liked their 182RG back in the FS9 days.
I can’t help but wish they had made their regular 182 a steam gauge version, as I took my first flight in a steam gauge 182… and with the glass cockpit it’s just too similar to the default sim 172. Seemed like they rushed that out in the period right after the sim’s release when there were very few addons available yet.

It’s better looking than the vomit-brown 70’s sofa upholstery in the 182 I had my first flight in as a kid. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

What we need is an actual Skywagon.
I’m pretty sure it will be one of the first things I’ll do.
How does a modern grey sound like?
Or maybe the same combo they used in the Bonanza V35?
Hopefully it doesn’t have the usual garbage carendo engine sounds…
Yes please!
Thinking about it:
It’s really a bit annoying they didn’t pick the CT210M.
After all we already have a C182, so the addition of steam gauges and RG is a cool thing. But the 310 hp turbo engine would have been even cooler. And truth be told: in the GA market we have very few powerful single engine aircraft currently.
On the other hand: this seems to be a newly developed aircraft, since there was no C182 RG for P3D or XPlane. And the FSX screenshots really show their age.
And the C182 RG is no slouch at 235hp and weighs 400 pounds less empty, has a a shorter take-off and landing distance as well as better climb rate than the C210.
Top speed however … well that’s no contest - especially without the turbo.
Yeah no kidding, they have a good (albeit old) 185F module with no gps that I’ve hoped to see brought over. It’s at the top of my wishlist , I hope someone does a good one.
It might interest you that flysimware said that they’re going to port over all their old modules as a budget range, which includes an early 182 fixed gear with steam gauges.
Great news. I loved their 182RG for FSX.
I want their Cessna 185 as well and maybe do a shot for shot remake of my Scar Creek to Tsuniah Lake video from back in the day.
To be honest: in that case I’d prefer the 182RG I’m a sucker for retractable landing gears.
If it means a steam gauge 182 then count me in as I have uninstalled the glass one. I would love a C206, C185 or my all time Cessna love, C177 (fixed and RG). I hope it brings new sound files as well.
