the working title ones but those should impact the garmins exclusively. Iâll check tomorrow.

Does this also happen when starting a flight airborne instead of on the ground?
Tried replicating on the ground, but the HSI worked for me, the only way I was able to get something similar was by turning off battery and alternators while taxiâing in circles, this stopped the HSI compass rose from rotating, but also the stopped the hdg-bug instead of spinning like in the video.
So thereâs definitely a new bug youâve found, that sucksâŠ

it is broken also when starting from the air. it is broken if using the tablet thingy on the yoke and selecting âcold and darkâ, âready for taxiâ and âready for takeoffââŠit is broken.
Iâll leave to others to file the zendesk bug as I totally hate that interface, the videos will stay up if you want to link them. Enough integration and beta-testing for them, thatâs their job (and clouseauboâs), weâve done enough gratis work already.
Carenado, one more thing, please replace those ridiculous cockpit views with some decent panel close-ups. Really, who is interested in seeing the mag switches zoomed, or the fuel switches or the placard? The same horrible views are setup in all your addons and the community has to supply with âbetterâ (or usable Iâd say) camera views.
@anon49064808, as far as I can tell, youâre just about the only one experiencing this problem, so I wouldnât rely on others to submit bug reports on your behalf. Heck, even if it was widespread, I still wouldnât rely on others, thatâs a bit like having the power in your neighborhood go out but not letting the power company know because you assumed one (or more) of your neighbors already did.
we are already two here, so I expect this to depend on some other factor but, again, itâs clouseauboâs and carenadoâs work to do their integration testing, and their homework overall.
as for the second topic, what you write is precisely what I intend to do, less than one month ago there was a discussion in reddit over the state of the marketplace and the update rollout procedure which was hurting 3rd parties. things have improved apparently, but they can be improved, especially on the testing side.
I simply gave up, when they will fix, they will fix. In the meantime Iâll simply use some other non-broken addon and question myself why, again, I dropped 15⏠for another addon on this game. Shame on me.
Iâd definitely uninstall those for the moment. This would drive me nuts, but dont give up, Iâve been wrestling with MS Flight Sims for years, sometimes I won, sometimes I lost, but sometimes thatâs where the fun is. 
lol thanks. I fight with flight sims since the venerable FS4.0, flight unlimited 2/3 etc.
the ones I skipped are fsx, p3d and xplaneâŠhad enough of the world. I got back just now but I see that itâs like Fallout.

@anon49064808 Clearly you can tell from this thread alone that whatever is causing your woes is not common. Out of all the people using this payware plane you (and one other person?) have stepped forward to say your compass rose (or whatever itâs called) is not working right, while every other person is saying âGee, I dunno, itâs working for meâŠâ
That means that whatever is the root cause, assuming itâs not as simple as a corrupted download that you just need to redo, is fairly unique and as such, is easy to miss in testing. It means that itâs somehow your system that has something different going on than most other people that is causing your problems.
And then you pop off calling it âclouseauboâs workâ to find and fix it, that sounded so childish I was wondering if you were a 12 year old until you said youâd been simming since MSFS v. 4. So, youâre not chronologically a child, but comments like that only serve to make you sound like one.
But rather than childishly insisting that the metaphorical âtheyâ should have found a unique problem before they shipped the update (that the rest of us are grateful for, even though it seems there are a few more flaws that need fixing), maybe itâs on you to figure out why youâre special in this case.
If I were you, hereâs what I would do:
- Shut down the sim.
- Find the directory (in file manager) that is holding the complete file structure and delete it. (Mine was in C:/Users/âmeâ/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft Flight Simulator/Packages/Official/Steam/carenado-aircraft-pa44-seminole).
- Restart the sim and download the whole package from scratch in Content Manager, andâŠ
- See if the problem is still there.
If it is, then you have some troubleshooting to do. Or, you can skip the troubleshooting and hope that by blind luck bordering on magic, âclouseauboâ and/or âcarenadoâ finds a problem they donât even know exists, and fixes it for the next patch. Either way, good luckâŠ
no need to write such a lengthy paper.
itâs a bug, edge condition, call it as you prefer. technically, a regression, as I had a working gauge and now I donât have a working gauge. the problem lies on the code of either the addon, or the sim. I have enough software development experience about this kind of problems to know when enough testing has, or hasnât been done.
like I wrote, Iâll just wait for a fix, no need to hassle too much about the nth release with issues of the core sim or the addons. We saw this multiple times.

Can confirm HSIâs CDI is not getting locked to GPS 
But Mooneyâs one is working. They indeed fixed the OBS gadget which was totally inop previously.
Also noticed I donât have the same issue as @anon49064808 showed. But after exiting the sim I remembered that I was testing not with VOR locked, but with GPS locked.
Anyways, I feel that Carenado fixed some issues, but some others still remain. I have only two community mods: Pimarcâs gns 430/530 and WT CJ4.

Iâm worried because, since we donât have a manual, we donât even know what should and shouldnât work. As I understand it, not all HSIâs are capable of communicating with the GPS, IOW, they lock with the NAV gauge which is also connected to the GPS and the GPS displays in VLOC mode, but some do not communicate with the output of the GPS. Do we know that it should? I donât know what model HSI it is or what options it has installed.

yep, and multiple times, as stated above, see âwiped folderâ.
also removed addons, removed community, I donât have any cache, etc.
all that can be done has been done, even checking the system number formats which can cause problems with badly implemented code.
it might even not be carenadoâs fault, e.g. clouseaubo breaking apis in the past and we got CTDs by clicking sunvisor or other moving parts without prior notice to 3rd parties or breaking apis for switches (see indiafoxtecho fuel switch and magnetos).
again, theyâll fix when theyâll fix, as many times in the past in this line of products.
