Change the mechanism of paying passive income in Career

In the simulator, passive income is received only for the time spent flying in career mode. And I think this is an absolutely correct approach. On the forum, there were proposals to give passive income all the time, no matter whether a person flies or not. But this is completely meaningless, since this will lead to a situation where you did not log into the sim for a month, and then received millions. And most importantly, it would be unrealistic, since in fact, when you fly, you work. Everything is like in real life: any business owner knows that in order for a business to bring in money, you need to work hard.

But I have another proposal: change the income paying system. And since we receive income for hours spent flying, then let’s pay this income immediately at the end of the flight. There are several serious advantages:

  1. The player understands that he receives passive income only for flights. Now it’s hard to understand the mechanism, you need to read forums to understand how it works.
  2. The player understands how much and for what is payed, and how much you need to fly to receive certain amounts.
  3. It motivates players to fly more often in the career.
  4. Clear reward system from the company will motivate to develop the company and increase your income per hour. And will show how your company and your income are growing giving you a sense of development, which is important for career.
  5. It would seriously complement the hired pilot mode: since the income for such missions is small, but you would receive a passive bonus from your company for each mission and it would be more fun to fly as a hired pilot.
  6. This will prevent situations where you flew, but for some reason did not receive passive income the next day.

Why the existing system of paying once a day is unsuccessful:

  1. it is not interactive (a person receives a bonus deferred and does not feel that this is a reward for the flight)
  2. it is completely unclear, it is difficult for you to understand why these amounts were received and how the system works
  3. It does not motivate to fly more, due to point number 1 (delayed reward).

Therefore, my proposal is simple: pay passive income immediately after the flight, as a bonus to the mission. It will be more fun, interesting, understandable and will motivate you to develop the company more, and to fly more. And you’ll see results of your company growth every flight.

Do you know how often you get passive income? I have only received twice and have had companies for almost 2 weeks

I thought they said daily.

My thought, it supposed to give passive income and deduct insurance at midnight UTC. If you are in career mode at that time it seems like maybe it has an issue since it can’t update the info while you are playing so it just skips it.

That is just a theory though.

I thought so too. But I have only received passive income twice in 2 weeks. The lack of info how this is supposed to work is frustrating

Jasamino, hello! Have you flown as employee or as a company worker? It seems there is a bug, and when you fly as employee you don’t receive passive income

As freelancer/my own company

Very strange. Indeed there is plenty of bugs  And that is why it would be better to pay income after every flight.

Seems to me passive income is paid in respect of ‘freelancer’ time only, for the other aircraft owned by the company. Not for employee missions. And that makes sense.
But the idea of notifying the passive income reward at the end of a flight is good.
However I suspect that at the moment it is calculated at end of day along with wear and tear and insurance.
For me, the present system is fine. But for sure it needs to be better understood/explained.
