Experienced this error code (2047) immediately after updating directly from SU3 to SU4. I’m a PC user with the store version. Need a global fix from Microsoft or Asobo.
The update gave me the constant 2047 Error and screwed up the Challenges too. I’m not on the Beta just a PC install, no Steam. Not Happy at ALL.
Seems the Career flights are ■■■■■ too….Same error window here. Grrrr!
In full-screen mode, once the flight has started, this window seems to disappear.
Not yet tested in VR, but I fear…
Another bug that has clearly not been fixed:
- settings/general/languages/subtitles Even if I uncheck it, it reappears every time I restart the sim.
- settings Assistance /piloting assistance/assisted Yoke same thing.
- settings Assistance/Piloting assistance/Helicopter:vortex ring state protection same thing
Same error 2047…
I may have found the solution (at least, it worked for me).
I backed up the command settings, then deleted all the profiles and then restored them from the backups.
The error message disappeared and hasn’t reappeared.
Hi, I’ve been in trouble with this error during more than two weeks.
Full story here
After having tried absolutely everything, also building a new PC to test, the solution for me came yesterday with the upgrade to SU4. It fixes it. I suppose my career cloud data were corrupted at some point.
Hey all,
I’ve had no luck here, windows store version, I was not in the beta and have had the 2047 error since updating to SU4.
I tried the deleting of my cloud storage but that made no difference, other than losing all my settings obviously.
One thing though, I think I’ve had a problem since I got my new rig a few months back, although my control settings do save, what doesn’t save is my any other setting, any changes to graphic settings will be reset next time I start my sim. Traffic settings are the same, as I use BATC, I always disable the default traffic. And every time I start the sim they are back on.
Now that I have lost my settings I am considering a full reinstall.
Is there a way to not lose everything in my community folder?
Country: Slovenia.
Platform: PC, MS Store.
5800X3D, R9070XT, 32GB RAM.
Wasn’t enrolled in SU4 Beta. The problem appeared after update from SU3 to SU4.
Since settings for input devices were mentioned: I use T16000m HOTAS but had WinWing Orion2 plugged in for a short period of time (still in SU3). Maybe it left some control settings or something that’s causing the problem. But there were no issues in SU3.
I’m amazed by the performance improvements in SU4 and I hope this issue can be resolved soon.
Clearing cloudsaves fixes it but is a pita.
I believe this issue existed in SU3 but didn’t manifest as error 2047, it is a cloud save type error. The team need to track down what causes the cloud save to corrupt. This has happened to me 5 times now.
Do we have solution for Cloud save error code: 2000 ?
I even tried unistalle game and nothing, this is CRAZY, cannot play with VR as the stupid popup about the error cannot be closed once trying play under VR
Clear cloudsave
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today.
We have been receiving reports from other users having this 2047 error message, our team is researching the root cause in this moment and could be triggered by congestion in the servers, in the meantime just try again later and if the issue persists try the steps listed below as many of our users were able to get back into the sim by performing this troubleshoot.
To start, try these steps (in this exact order) suggested by a MSFS forum member and see if they help:
1. Open Xbox app and sign out.
2. Then, open Microsoft Store app and sign out.
3. Go to Windows Settings → Apps → Installed Apps, click the three dots next to Gaming Services, and select Uninstall.
4. Restart PC.
5. Open Microsoft Store app and sign in.
6. Then open Xbox app and observe the progress from 0% to 100% - this is when Gaming Services is being installed.
7. Finally, sign in to Xbox app and launch MSFS.

Gotta say, I’m genuinely surprised - in a good way - to see support using my suggestions. Really cool to know it actually helps people. Means a lot to me.
You can try pressing A and then space. Worked for me after I couldn’t click any button with a mouse (for some reason).
Hello,
The cloud save error (whether 1024, 2047, or any other) has nothing to do with starting the simulator. At least, I have never encountered the error when starting up, but rather when preparing or after I was in the aircraft.
I have also made my own observations and found that (in my case) the error occurs 85% of the time when I have made quick changes to the assignment/settings/calibrations in the controller menu.
I am currently testing this to be sure.
Therefore, I suspect that it may be caused by an overload of the server line(s).
What I can say for sure is that the following procedure works for me:
Close MSFS2024.
Open the Xbox app and log out.
Start MSFS204, which will prompt you to log in to the Xbox app.
I have been doing this for 3 days now BEFORE I start the simulator.
As a result, I have not had any more errors (at least not visible as a window…).
Kind regards,
E. Stahl
Thank you for your response. I initially performed the suggested actions from MSFS24 support, but that still resulted in the same error message. I also followed your suggestion, but the error message persists.
Kind regards,
Mente
The very first time this issue popped up for me, which was on the last beta build [1.6.31.0], it happened immediately after I exited the setting after changing the cockpit view zoom level, so I also agree it has something to do with settings and the servers, at least partially.
I’m on Xbox though, and my usual fix is to just reboot the game and the Xbox itself, no other steps, and it usually resolves itself for a while. My experience doesn’t seem to be as persistent as it is with PC users, as it seems like an intermittent issue for me.
Neither solution worked for me. Error code 2047 still appears after challenges, career mode, or free flight. It always happens when the sim tries to save.
Did not help, still the error code 2047 (PC store version).
You cleared cloudsaves and you still got 2047?
Neither of the xbox/gaming services suggestions above worked for me. I’ve yet to do a full reset to test that
