CTD after latest update (Update #5)

Same here.

Hi… Same thing for me. CTD after the last update.

My culprit is the TCS Airbus Quadrant. The patch notes specifically say added support for Airbus Quadrant, I guess that means CTD if you use it.

I’ve got one of those, and haven’t gotten a CTD (yet).

IMO, the only time they should force an update is when it has something to do with communicating with the game servers…and, in those cases, that should be the only thing in that update, so that it can be thoroughly tested before being released.

Before this patch I had no issues (anymore), now many CTD’s. I wonder how they test these updates. It’s time ASOBO gets a real testmanager in the team I think.

Same issue here. I managed to get the sim loaded by unplugging all peripherals and it loaded fine. Plug my MFG Crosswind Pedals back in and it CTD at about the 85% load point.

Unplugged pedals and restarted fine. Plugged in Honeycomb Yoke and CTD once again.

So looks like i can fly using keyboard but not with any devices. Up untril now i have had no issues at all with the program.

Good lets hope you dont get my experience try taking off from KJFK and see if it works for you

Solve the issue on my end.

Thanks you so much Opus !

In my case it seems the GoFlight TQ6 throttle quadrant was ā€˜causing;’ the CTD.
Microsoft sidewinder joystick, Simped F16 pedals and CH Throttle quadrant plus many GoFlight modules aren’t causing a problem (or at least the sim gets to the options screen with them plugged in).

I have been getting CTD since the last update 5 from MSFS to version 1.10.7.0
if I have the Locher airfield in the community folder and want to start a flight, for example from LSZH

GoFlight TQ6 throttle is INOP with the latest patch. I will wait for the dev team to figure out why it no longer allows my sim to load.
BTW, I think the patch has been pulled. I hope so!

Hello

Solved for me

The two peripherals which caused me a ctd

Vjoy
Thrustmaster TPR

I followed this procedure to resolve the crash

CTD Resolv

I just delete the Vjoy and Thrustmaster folder

Good luck to all

I must say, this is really making me angry.

Tried the folder solution, did not work for me.

Tried unplugging the USB devices, did not work for me.

It crashes on all US airports but I found some airports randomly chosen in EU where the game actually loads up properly

If this is the dance we are about to do for the next year or so then I am out, I will request a refund.

I have never had a problem since 18th of August and was happily flying last morning, by afternoon the patch rolled out and now CTD.

I have been simming for 35 years, I know simming is about tweaking, we all know that. Bur releasing a patch that breaks the game for some users is really not acceptable.

I fully understand lots of people have no problem. I have no idea how many have this problem. All I know is that I had a fully functional sim yesterday and by afternoon it does not work post patch.

Clearly this sim is about a year from release date, the only reason they pushed this out is because of Xbox X. The suits do these kind of decisions, have seen it in real life. The mortals in the end have to take the anger and frustration from customers while the rest are shielded from their own stupidity.

I dont have time for this, thats why I switched from Xplane 11 and now this…I have zero confidence this will be dealt with in its entirety. Zero.

A code that breaks with every patch is not new, but it does show maturity of the state. It is nowhere near a release candidate.

I’ll be giving my TQ6+ config file reset a go later on today. I don’t have this issue, but this controller is the only one that is using a non-default profile, and it has not been upgraded to the new format.

I intend to wipe this config back to default, to see if it breaks things for me…while making a backup of the entire ā€œwgsā€ folder first.

so my two kids are in take care today and i was hoping to finally have a calm flight  . Surprise! I can not load anything because CTD… very frustrating!. Just read many of the previous threads and it seems has to do with USB ports. But what is the point of disconnecting everything and not having CTDs fi you cannot plug them in again? i guess we just need to wait until this is fixed for everybody…

also no problem so far… now many random CTD on ground or during flight. Probably caused by my Logitech controllers because very often it crashes after clicking some button

Same problem here. When I disconnect my USB hub, with 4 peripherals, I can start the sim normally. Reported to Zendesk

Okay, so I did a few tests, and was not able to replicate the crashes. What I did was fire up the sim, check I had two profiles, a ā€œdefaultā€ which was in use, and a ā€œSPAD testā€ one that was not, so I delete the SPAD one. I fired up the G36 and was able to use all three levers successfully.

I shut the sim down, and checked the folder structure. I now have the original profile folder which is empty, plus a second folder which is also empty.

A third folder was created when I created a new copy of the default profile, and this has the new file layout.

TQ6_default
TQ6_SPAD

TQ6_profile_difference
TQ6_default_copy

VJoy was the killer, after disabling VJoy all works fine…
