I’m doing the same…
Just to add to the conversation, I’m also having a lot of CTDs after the 1.10.8.0 update. It crashes at unrelated moments, even before finishing to render the home screen menu. It didn’t happen before.

Just in case you have any lingering controller profile issues, do you get crashes if you unplug everything except your mouse, and keyboard? It’s probably not related, but worth a shot. This hotfix was supposed to fix that, but you never know.

Ok, I managed to finally re-install the whole simulator from scratch and just like Speedbird144, I am back in the air with no CTDs

With regards to the Bush Trips, they appear all to be reset - just as I thought ( although the completetion stat remains intact ).
Yea, same experience. Thanks for sharing.
Installed the c++ redistributables… No success. Still CTD when I try to update packages. ![]()
doesnt work most people are still getting
Faulting module name: VCRUNTIME140.dll, version: 14.27.29112.0, time stamp: 0x5f61068a
This may not have worked for you, but it sure did solve my crashes! Motion blur and comunity addons, live traffic and multiplayer, everything working!
I have to mention that I also updated my nVidia drivers, but I don’t think it was it: I was using the previous version and this one was released for the settings of the just launched “Watchdogs: Legion”.
Thanks for jumping in ![]()
Welp, I’ve done all that, now I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled msfs2020… get to the fuji update packages screen… CTD upon pressing the “update” button. ![]()
Now, when I fire it up, it gets to the “let’s get you logged in” screen. I put in my creds… I get the xbox live screen, “let’s play”, I click that, mt fuji is front and center… then I get an error, “access to the content services is unavailable”… then another screen, “menu.warning… Connection Lost. please ensure active internet connection…” I click “ok”, and msfs CTD.
I’m 100% connected to the internet so WTF now? Ugh.
Could it be my nvidia drivers? I just updated them a couple days ago.
Stuck in a loop. Entering Xbox live credentials takes to a notice telling me that I am not connected to the internet. And then it says I am connected and “Let’s Play” and the whole loop starts again.
Ok, I rebooted the pc… perhaps forgot to do so after reinstalling the c++ stuff. Anyway, rebooted… Back to the Fuji “install manager” screen… picked my packages directory… clicked update… CTD.
Different folder. It wants to put packages on my c drive by default, which I don’t have enough space for… so I pick a drive that I created on the D drive… d:\msfs\packages.
MSFS installer… But I have it purchased and “installed” from Steam… not ms store.
No. That is in the default Steam apps area. D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator
man, all these folders sure seem confusing. I don’t care actually where any of it goes, just so long as it’s not on the C drive.
Now I’m back to the “content servers unavailable” stuff… and getting CTD after that. Can’t even get to the update packages screen.
I’m a Windows engineer and feel I should mention: never touch your pagefile…ever.
This is genuinely f****d now since the Japan update. Wish I had the opportunity not to download that rubbish update.
My game started crashing after 3mins of play so I got steam (Owned on Steam) to verify my content and then when I opened up the game it force made me redownload the entire game. Before that I also updated my Nvidia drivers on my GTX1060 using the game ready driver it suggested. I then reset my PC & updated my VS C++ and then reset my PC again.
Then i got the same issues as MotivatedAsp31. I also had issues with “no connection to internet”. I’ve now managed to get a connection re-established and downloading my premium deluxe content through the in game market place. However I only have a TBM 930 & Cessna 152 in my Hangar… WHAT THE F**K?!?
I’ve been pretty patient and helped out others when the game first came out. But It’s pretty pathetic that no one from MSFS can even give a suggestion and leaving it up to the rest of us to think of solutions…
Any help would be greatly appreciated
