Sorry but when you say disable RealTek, is there a way to do this without uninstalling the drivers? Not sure I have Sonic Studio.

I toggled the ā€œdonā€™t allowā€ button in sound devices menu. Which disables them.

I was able to fix my CTDs but turning off XMP in Bios. Once that was turned off, I havenā€™t had a single CTD. Donā€™t have this problem in any other games or MFS2020 either.

Well Iā€™ll be.

Did the ā€œdonā€™t allowā€ on Realteck and Sonic Studio, opened Steam as administrator.

I was able to load 3 different flights in 3 areas. South Africa, Indonesia and Florida. Flew around each for a few minutes, then exited flight. Then went into graphic settings, clicked around in there, made a bunch of changes. Saved and for the 1ā€™st time since getting this game was able to quit the game properly by clicking exit to desktop. Not crash to desktop.

Not a lot of time to play around with it right now, itā€™s late and better half will be ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  (censor nailed me lol) if I stayed up all night playing video games then complained I was tired tomorrow. Hoping it all works tomorrow. Cautiously optimistic.

Who would have thought those were the cause. (assuming it all works tomorrow when server load is higher). Looking forward to actually getting to do some flying.

CTDs seem to be completely random for me. Sometimes, selecting an airport, sometimes taxiing, sometimes, landing. One I had approaching LA. there is no continuity at all, however, they seem to occur around the 90 minute mark, give or take. I wonder if that old memory bleed from 2020 is backā€¦

Additionally some CTDs will freeze the whole computer, not even a CNTL-ALT-DEL will work, a full power off to reboot.

Plus I had a power failure while in the sim, and since there nothing in the sim seems to be working correctly, including the prop and mixture commands seem to be corruptedā€¦?

What is your error in Event Viewer say?

Set your pagefile size to 64GB.
That fixes most MSFS CTDā€™s in general.

Come back to me and let me know if it has worked.

hi i am having the same issue - I canā€™t even get past the initial loading screen it always gets stuck at about 60% and it is driving me mad - any help out there/

Same here:

  • pressing Esc to come back to main menue
  • end a flight to save it.

its happend on inbuilt aricrafts too, not only from community folder.

Morning update. Turning off the reateck and other audio thing has worked for sure. Flying around an hour now, da62 and a320 and not a single crash. Much fiddling around in menuā€™s, all stable. Wish I knew this days ago. Would have save much frustration.

Now off to try out this career mode

thanks but i dont want to begin to play on my systems config etc. because Asobo have not good and understandable solution for us.

Hi, Just to let you know. If you have Realtek audio on your motherboard, then try and disable it in BIOS, and use Nvidia audio output on you monitor.
Follow these steps: 1 Stop HD audio and Realtek audio. 2 uninstall the software for this in apps. 3 Restart your PC in to BIOS, and disable HD audio on you MB.
4 restart and set up Nvidia as standard sound output.
Thats it.

You have the best system one can have, however, itā€™s not much of use since the serverā€™s bandwidth is low and most graphics computing is done at source and then streamed to your PC !!. I was going to upgrade but not anymore and continue with MSFS2020 until the stove the issue.

Disabeling the realtec sounds like a working solution if i follow the thread. Unfortunally it does not seems to be a propper solution to me. I have a sound system connected to the system.
If I understand this correct, I should use the monitor sound instead because of MSFS2024?

Looks to me I have to wait and hope that MS/Asobo will sort this out and go back to other games in the meantime. I am so disapointed in the situation. I spend hours trying to get this working. At this point I am inching closeer to not willing to be a paying customer to do beta testing for MS/Asobo.

Thanks for your great support, this was/is much better then the official support you get from MS/Asobo stating we ā€œhope to fix the issue soon, be paitent and try to start the game another time.ā€
