Cannot reproduce, I am not seeing those spikes on the runway:

Do you have any addons related to airport/runways/taxiways installed ?

There is a report in the main thread for this airport but for a different issue:
MSFS 2024 Airport / Helipad Issue Tracker

Hi, no, I don’t have any add-ons related to this airport, or any particular scenery.

The strangest thing is when you’re landing, you visualize it well, and at approximately >50ft, the blades appear.

My entire setup is on ULTRA, with object and terrain detail at 200. Could that be it? But blades shouldn’t appear… anyway.

That’s weird. I have also setup OLOD & TLOD to 200 as well as most of the graphic options to ultra but still cannot reproduce:

I see you have a nvidia GPU and I also have one (RTX2060), so cannot be that either.
Even graphical effects are not exaclty the same, it makes me think to this issue: Ground Textures Crazy Distortion Spikes and Colors

I have the crunchy runways at CYHH.

Hi @JUANMAXZ3 @CasualClick @DementedCorn327 @hobanagerik

For me the issue is whether the displacement mapping option is on or off. (options/general/advanced settings/displacement mapping
With the option turned on:

With the option off:

Oooh nice find. I never touched this setting iirc so I wonder why some folks have it off.

Now I can reproduce with displacement mapping enabled (I had it disabled):

Explanation about this option can be found here: FS2024 Graphics Settings and Performance Guide (11/20/2024)

Maybe root cause is the runway incorrect material used, somehow related to the report I mentioned here: CYHH NEMISCAU - Destroyed Runway 27 - #3 by DementedCorn327

@JUANMAXZ3 : could you add in your “reproduction steps” that displacement mapping" must be enabled ?

Exactly! If I disable displacement mapping, the track displays correctly.

I’ve added that to the steps.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I hope this error on the snowy runway only happens here, otherwise I’ll keep crashing when landing, haha.
