The best for the community is split the old thread between the official product thread and the addon or mod thread. The reason is simple: to avoid any kind of confusion between users of the official product and users of the modded version. They have also asked me not to use the .pln system anymore since it is against the rules, so we will use a download link to an external site.
As members of the team, SilentG37, SeverusAviation and I think it is the most sensible thing to do and we will do so. The mod will be our responsibility, not DCDesigns.
Yeah, and I would like to add that DC Designs deserves its own thread/topic with discussion revolving solely around his work and the amazing product he has released to us.
To add what jack said, we will be setting up our own thread, and ask that others direct any mod questions toward the new thread, and keep this focused on the official DC Designs version.
So I bought this through the steam version in-game marketplace, and I’m unable to get CodenameJack’s mod to work.
I unrared it, then properly put it in the correct community folder, according to where developer mode says it located.
Problem maybe due to add-on being in official folder and not community folder as if purchased from 3rd party website?
Anyone got any suggestions?
If purchased from just flight the DC file should be in community folder. Any mods/liveries add will appear as a separate folder in the community folder. The original DC Designs Folder needs to remain. Pretty sure that’s how it works.
I will look in to that for you. The AoA indexer and bracket do move quite low in the HUD so I should probably also re-position those for easier visibility in the first instance. Interestingly I haven’t seen any indexer lights fitted to the Eagles, I have them working on my Super Hornets though so they can be fitted as an addition for practical purposes if all else fails.
Keep 'em coming folks, keeping my notes ready for the update work, already got much nicer canopy scratch effects in place, which was another popular request, and will have textures for windshield tint and moveable mirrors in play. Regarding performance issues, this is sim-wide rather than aircraft specific, I’ve been getting really bad stutters in all aircraft types since the sim’s most recent update.
I would like to do that one day, but it will take Asobo to give us MFD screens that don’t hit performance so hard before I risk taking that on as the EX cockpit is full of them and they’re big
General qustion…bought the F15 (and other stuff…aircrafts and airports) in the Marketplace.
Now, Im asking me, where can I find the corresponding manuals, descriptions, airportcharts?
Hi, maybe repetitive, but if you bought the F-15 in the MSFS Marketplace, the main F-15 files are installed where the other marketplace/Asobo plane files are, and are NOT in the community folder. If you bought it from Just Flight, it will be installed in the community folder. If you get one of the user made modification files, they will go into the community folder in every case. I hope this is of some help.

The Faq of the F15 is inside the folder of F15 in the community folder of Mfs2020. Just looking for in F15.

Got a question…Why on earth seems that i am the only one not seing a problem with my HUD ?
Also,i installed a camera mod from a guy and it is outstanding when changing also to landing view in an instant.This aircraft is a blast !

I understand where the original F15 from the marketplace is installed (steam installation), however putting Jacks mod in the community folder has no effect, my son purchased his F15 from just flight direct. and indeed jacks mod works fine in the community folder … must be another issue as to why this mod does not work when the F15 is purchased from the market place … cheers
Can I just say that during a lot of testing I find that if I have the Aircraft engine noise on the F15 is set more than 5% and everything else at 100% ie cockpit sounds. I can’t hear the wheels at touchdown. All other jest I have are fine set at 75% Aircraft Engine noise
I think we have found the root of the issue, and they are in the manifests of the official product from the marketplace one and the justflight one being differents between them. So we have to build two different packages.
