Yes, Just Flight always e-mail buyers when updates are made available, and you’ll get them much quicker than from the Marketplace too.
Hey! I don’t know if anyone can help but when flying the aircraft, mostly noticeable when landing, the F-15 feels very bouncy/flimsy/very reactive… Is this a problem on my end?
I’d appreciate the help!
Hello @ Earth5250:
Basically, the more gross weight, the more speed you’ll need to land smoothly.
This is the official chart for the F15-E’s landing speeds versus gross weight:
So for example, for a gross weight of 35,000 pounds, you would need to maintain 143 knots with an AOA of 8 degrees (full flaps) to land properly. If your gross weight were 40,000 pounds, you would need to maintain approximately 153 knots.
The stick should only be used to make minor corrections.
I hope it helps you.
Best regards.
P.S. In case you wanted to try our official mod you have the link here.
I agree. it is very pitch sensitive as you say
Bought this yesterday after hearing it had been much improved since launch. Unforunately I have to say my first impressions haven’t been favourable, mainly due to the really poor textures applied to the seat. The straps in particular look awful and the pixelated text on the… well actually I’m not sure what it is but its really distracting!
I’m using a track IR and an ultrawide, so with a turn of the head this block of pixels is frequently in sight. Not what I’d expect from a £33 purchase and is especially bad when held up against contemporaries in the store such as the Goshawk which run far cheaper.
That is what I was saying about the F-14 too as far as graphics.
It hasn’t even released yet!
I know but he has pictures all over Facebook and on here, showing off his work. So I am just giving my opinion.
Updates to the Eagle continue, with another one coming within a week or so ( more if you bought it on the marketplace, they’re quite slow to update. ) A lot of other developers do indeed have much sharper textures on such things as seats / cockpits etc. They’re achieving this by using texture maps far larger than the MSFS SDK recommends. To do the job properly requires completely re-mapping objects to match the sim’s ideal requirements, so it takes time. I’m working through the F-15s at the moment, and the seat definitely needs some love so it’s on the list.
Over time, the Eagles will also get the full decals for panels and labels / MSFS cockpit and fuselage model set up that is the way these things are supposed to be done. With a four aircraft package it does take time though, but I’m getting there with each and every update. My goal is aircraft that are equal visually to anything else out there, but also completely compliant with the MSFS SDK. It takes longer, but the aircraft should thus perform better for it.
Thanks for the reply, Nice to hear there are still improvements coming.
I saw a Youtube video of someones 3rd review and they talked about what a big difference the current release is vs the launch release. So I watched the previous 2 reviews and so can see the effort you’ve put in.
I guess my concern was more that with other products in the pipeline that you’d (as developer) now view this as finished. But clearly I’m wrong on that.
The Eagles are a looong way from finished, I think that I’ll be upgrading them throughout most of this year at least as new things come on-line with the SDK and I learn more over time Quite looking forward to bringing across what I’ve learned in the weeks since the last update.

Moving forward, I am planning next week to work entirely on the F-15 Eagle updates next week and below are the changes planned. It’s possible that some might not make it in as it’s a big job to update four aircraft at once, but if any owners want to add anything that I might have missed, let me know here. It won’t be the last update of course, but I’ll still try to get in everything that I can:
BUG FIXES
Canopy Scratches too blocky - enhanced
Windscreen tint obscures night flying - removed
Touchdown sounds returned to sound pack
Remove doubled HDG bug from HSI ( F-15 C/D )
Fuel flow needle “twirling” at start-up ( F-15 C/D ) - fixed
MFD nozzle position graphic for F-15 E/I correction
Transponder knobs not animating - fixed
Canopy jettison handle too large, corrected
Oil temperature gauge needles corrected
Viewpoint too low, corrected
Rain flowing wrong way on F-15C canopy - fixed
ADDITIONS
Internal screens enhanced for improved performance ( FPS )
ACES II ejection seat and harness textures enhanced
Exterior and interior models on all variants now separated to conform to MSFS method
Taxi light and switch added ( forward left-side panel, marked “taxi light” )
Landing light and taxi lights now emissive on external model
Landing and taxi lights illuminate ground ahead of aircraft when in cockpit
Mirrors can be switched off to avoid excessive sun glare ( switch on right hand side panel, off by default )
Extra LOD models added to conform more closely to MSFS standards
General texturing and PBR enhancements
( With thanks as always to CodenameJack447, SilentG37 and SeverusAviation for their continued work on engines, aerodynamics and spotting errors in my coding )
KNOWN ISSUES
HUD power switch is off by default ( located below HUD, marked as “on” and “off”, switch tagged as “HUD Power” ) Same for mirror switch
Some instrument needles still slightly inaccurate, still investigating causes
MSFS new centre of gravity system still unreliable, check MAC % before flight to ensure centre of balance is correct ( hopefully fixed by Asobo soon )
HUD text still hard to see against bright clouds / sky. Windshield tinting was generally unpopular as a fix, so seeking a new solution to this issue.
Pilots’ heads no longer animated due to separate interior / exterior models. Will see if this animation can be returned after further investigation
Thanks, DEAN
Just a " stupid " question : what about flares ?
That would make for some great screenshots! However, I don’t think that’s possible yet in MSFS, unless I create some kind of custom animation with emissive spheres that disappear - not sure if that would work either.
we flew with you tonight im am dancingqueen949 in the sim, my discord is dancingqueen949#1634 drop me a message i would like to give you some feedback on the mod, also i can put you in touch with with the F-15 Virtual Fighter squadron leader and invite you to the group, we can work together to get the bast from the mod helping you test it out. Evening all,
I’ve been experiencing un-commanded roll issues with the F-15. I thought it was my joystick but can replicate it with my yokes. Is this a stock 1.0.1 issue that needs the mod for resolving it?
I’ve played with the weight & balance to make sure I didn’t create an asymmetrical loading. Just haven’t had a lot of time to really dive deep on this and am looking here to make sure there isn’t a known issue and easy fix.
Thank you.
Not aware of any un-commanded roll issues at this time, no reports from other users so far.
Thank you! I need to get deeper into the checklists and make sure I am not missing something.
Cheers and Happy Simming!
