That’s the point, I don’t understand.
At Trueachievements, we have 166,000 registered members, who earned at least one achievement in MSFS 2020.
Even if there are only one percent of them interested in completing the game, we could, no, we should have 1,660 votes in this thread or questions for the stream.
But no, even the requests for a South Korea world update got more upvotes.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against South Korea or World updates in particular. The more the merrier.
I just don’t get it, why a small bunch of the same people, who are interested into the achievements, is fighting in the Decathlon related threads, while people with other preferences can concentrate their interests in their favor.
Most of those registered probably quit. MSFS isn’t for achievement hunters which Trueachievements caters to. Most of the rest either forgot, don’t care or already got it when it was obtainable.
I have to disagree at one point, unfortunately. A lot of the active commenters in this thread are achievement hunters, including myself.
I‘d like to rather describe it like this: MSFS isn‘t for achievement hunters, who want a fast, effortless completion.
I’m with you on your statement, there are thousands of people, who forgot about the achievement, got the fast achievable ones, or just gave MSFS a try, because it is a Game Pass title. Of course it is the majority.
That’s why I ask for the support of the 1%, who cares and want that god darrrn achievement.
By the way, out of 166.654 registered members at TA only 165 got the Decathlon-achievement and 47 the full 1000G
In my opinion these numbers are representative in relation for the MSFS players, who are not registered on Trueachievements.

It seems pretty clear to me that they’re never going to make another weekly spotlight event. Here are my favorite alternative solutions:
- Make the spotlight events pack count. Why wasn’t this done from the very start? That would have been perfect.
- Give us a cheat code that just pops the achievement. At this point, I’d be just as satisfied with that.
- Delete the achievement so that there are only 42 total. Both these last two are just an acknowledgement that this achievement is no longer supported and gives us a workaround to complete the game.
Please do something, or even reply or acknowledge the issue. I’m not interested in MSFS 2024 until I can finish MSFS 2020. How many unobtainable achievements will there be in the next one? And how much radio silence will there be from the devs?
EDIT: For those on Steam willing to settle for #2 at this point, GitHub - gibbed/SteamAchievementManager: A manager for game achievements in Steam.
You’re welcome
If you want to cheat, just load up Steam Achievement Manager. Super easy mode for all those achievements that are just too difficult to get! Or broken, it works for broken ones too
Developers should update Spotlight Event pack. Will it count for achievemnt. They know about issue with this cheevo. Now is stream on twich. I hope they will patch it soon. Thanks
There was a Twitch stream today with the dev’s and the first question they were asked was about the Decathlon achievement. From the way the question was answered, it seems that the recent pack that was available to download which included old events - they realise that it would have been better if the events in that pack did count towards Decathlon and will fix it
You can see the initial question here: Twitch
And then a follow up question here: Twitch
EDIT: for those on Xbox, the pack added 10 events back into the game (under Landing Challenges > Famous & Landing Challenges > Epic). Of the 10 events in those menus, 6 of them have never been available on Xbox. If all 10 events were made to count, there’d currently be 11 events available (including First Flight on main menu) and the achievement could be unlocked. So fingers crossed the ‘fix’ is implemented sooner rather than later
At least the right members of the dev team have a knowledge about the issue, now. That is, after countless hours of discussions with the tier 1 support, more than I had expected.
Many thanks and kudos to all the gamers, who took the live stream as a chance and ask for a fix.
Now we have to wait and there is hope, it will be fixed in one of the upcoming sim updates.
The news of Asobo fixing the Spotlight Achievements finally is a sigh of relief. I’m about 50% of the way of completing the achievements, but dropped this game after I had completed 2 bush trip with no unlock. It was my goal to 100% complete this game by the time FS 2024 came out, but I couldn’t bring myself to finishing this game knowing I may never get my so called “Platinum” on this game.
Hoping that the Spotlight Achievement fix is just the beginning, and the bush trips get fixed next, but the fact that Asobo dodged the question regarding Bush Trips isn’t promising.
Haha you shoulda kept at it! You still have to unlock 1000 hrs of flying (unless you cheese it like a loser and set up a plane with unlimited fuel to fly round and round the globe for months.) And landing at 500 different airports. I did it just having fun eventually. But if it turns into a grind, that’ll be painful.
The bush flights will be fixed as well. This was the next topic, after they talked about the Decathlon achievement.
Like I said before, it‘s positive the people in charge adressed both issues and promised a solution.
Two of the bush flights should work now. I picked up two, but Anemoi eludes me and I think it might actually be totally broken.
Bush trips are fixed?! Is this real life?!
Don’t tease me
Very good to hear, thanks for sharing, I missed that…right when I was about to give up! That’s fantastic news, very much looking forward to that day! Unfortunately, not soon enough
Any news about Decathlon?
Yes, they’ll be looking into it soon. It was addressed in the last live stream. They’re going to be allowing the older events to count.
I can’t confirm, they are working now, unfortunately.
Did the entire South America bushflight in the last days, but again without the achievement.
No back to route, no crashes or plane roll overs after landing, with every leg logged correctly in the pilots log.
When I did it, it didn’t register the first time. The second time I flew very carefully over every point through every flight and it triggered. I can’t say for certainty if it was that that did it tho I suspected I’d skirted wide of a couple of points and wondered if that might have caused the problem.
It’s also possible they’ve broken it since then, but it appears that it has always been problematic. Hopefully they’ll “fix” it so it’s not so difficult. Anemoi seems definitely broken, or there’s some trigger no one has figured out and they said they’d be looking into it soon.
Still silent
We already told you the “news” in reply to your last post. There have been no updates to the game at all since they said they’d look into it. Wait for an update. There can’t be changes without one. Personally wouldn’t expect it for a few months as it probably won’t even get into the next patch/update.
