They really dropped the ball with this achievement. They could have made it so much simpler from the start. “Weekly event” type achievements are always hard to keep updating. Should have just had them all ready to go.

It is so simple. Just cycle through the older ones every week Asobo and we can fly every week an older one. It is ridicolous that maverick and first flight airport is there over one year !!!
As of Feb. 9th 2024 the spotlight package does not count for the achievement
When will it be fixed ?

Same here, I got now 1/10. I just bought the game, so I hope they will put some new ones… But from what I read now, it is not weekly, once in a few months???

It won’t matter. For the fix they’ve said they’ll allow all the old ones to count. We already have several in game but they don’t count yet if you missed doing them when they came out. In the year and a half since I have been playing, there’s only been 2.

yeah… I read on another site where someone commented, Weekly???, It took the guy almost 2,5 years to get the achievement… But I just recently bought this game, So I, I hope I will be able to also get it…

Lol, I saw on the internet people saying they need to fire the one who came up with this achievement hihi., well, I have to say, uhm well… I am very stunned, why do they bring up an achievement that says “weekly” , but it only comes once every few months!!!

If you got the game at launch you could have completed it 
But they said a few weeks ago they’ll be fixing it.

I got the game at Xbox launch and there have only been 5 events to complete so impossible for me and many others who can’t double dip with the PC version as don’t have a capable PC
Also worth mentioning that 1 of those 5 events didn’t give progress towards Decathlon either so despite having had the game for ~130 weeks, i’ve only seen 5 events and have 40% progress towards the achievement

I know, I know, That’s why I mention the 50, Find 50 Aerocaches of the Day…, Back then I knew, do this or else at one point servers will end etc…
I know, i’m kinda late now, but still, now I hope it will be possible, and as you said, I hope they will come with a fix.

I think the Decathlon achievement should just be made to unlock automatically for everyone. It’s clear that the timed activities don’t return anymore, and even “showcase” activities like the Maverick or Dune expansions and challenges don’t count towards it. Since there’s no real hope that it will be obtainable in the future, I think it would be best to just unlock it for everyone upon game launch.
It’s not something that can’t be done: Cyberpunk 2077 did the same with several achievements after the game got a big update and some aspects of the game were completely replaced. The developers simply made all those achievements unlock for everyone. The same could be done with Decathlon.

That’s just cheating. If you didn’t earn it, you shouldn’t get it. (And I’m sitting at 2/10).
But it doesn’t matter. They’ll be adding back the old ones so everyone can get the achievement.
Decathlon now unlocks on the latest beta build (1.37.4.0)! Thanks devs!
