I recall a forum post about VIDP being developed by DhruvSim. The post has disappeared from the forums, so I’m hoping it hasn’t been cancelled? Does anyone have any news, or is there a discord to get more info from?

I had the post removed because the forum doesn’t allow promotion of payware products below Trust Level 2. When I made the post, I hadn’t read the forum rules carefully enough, so that was my mistake.
That said, the project is very much alive and it’s set to launch soon.

I’m really encouraged by the delays — the last lot of screenshots looked good so hopefully it’s still being tweaked and improved.

lets just accept that this addon will probably never release, every time we have been promised screenshots we haven’t gotten them, its been weeks since the last showcase, atp i am not even excited. if this was a freeware the delays could’ve been shrugged off but this will be a payware addon and that deserves some professionalism.
I honestly think that’s a bit of an unfair criticism. I can think of several top devs who’ve recently delayed their work significantly (and been far less communicative about it than Dhruv).
We’ve had images in the last 2-3 weeks and it’s clearly progressing.
This is exactly why devs release products in poor states, because once they make the mistake of offering a rough release window, they’re strictly held to account for any and every delay. What they believe to be a helpful hint is quickly taken as a binding agreement. Dhruv is a new developer and so will be looking at others’ work and trying his best to emulate that. That will take time.

Awaiting more news on this VIDP-and a good Navi Mumbai with proper ATC and AI done unlike the Cascadia VANM on the MP.

Trailer just released. It looks much better here than in the Simmarket promo pics (which don’t seem to show a great deal). Some of the texturing seems a little too clean but for a first scenery project, it really does look good. Some decent custom assets on show.
