[Discussion] 1.15.8 Hotfix is Available!

Thanks man! This setting is perfect, makes me wonder why active pause would even be in the sim, let alone the default option…

„Web Assembly“ - mostly relevant for developers

A way to extend the simulator (aircraft).

As reported by another on this thread, yesterday I too had CTD approaching LFMT, and upon random checking, I had hit-or-miss CTDs on other scenery add-ons, This was post update, pre-hotfix. Today, post hotfix, no CTD issues, including the approach to LFMT. My uninformed opinion is that the hotfix repair to WASM solved the problem. However, even though I emptied my extensive community folder prior to both the update and the hotfix, I discovered the in Content Manager, most of my Community items now show as "uninstalled. Upon checking a few “uninstalled” sceneries I discovered, to my great relief, they are indeed installed and functioning normally. I suppose this issue will raise its ugly head in the near future, but for now I am happy to have a fairly smooth running sim. I did nothing differently with this update/hotfix than I have done previously (i.e., moved all Community content to a holding folder). For now, I’ll just enjoy MSFS and wait for the other shoe to drop.

First off, loving this version of MSFS big time! I’ve been a huge sim fan forever and and this is by far the best. Congrats to Asobo for such a great product.

But I have an issue today. I’m posting it here because I’m not sure where to post it. Please let me know if there’s somewhere else this should go.

After downloading the 1.15.8 mandatory update, I can no longer load into the game. I crash to desktop right about when the progress bar is a about 80-90%. My Community folder has been emptied. I have the GamePass edition.

Is there anyway to roll back to the 1.15.7 version to confirm that it’s the update that is causing the problem? Was working fine yesterday.

This is the only info that’s showing in the error log:

Thanks a lot !

I updated LFTH but no luck. I conducted the flight again LIML to LFMT ILS 30R CRJ7 but crashed to desk top again. I am going to uninstall Pilot Experience LFMT I purchased from the marketplace and reinstall.

I’ll give it a try thanks.

I am going to uninstall Pilot Experience LFMT I purchased from the marketplace and reinstall as well

RTC means Rex Tech Center. Please stop being lazy and type out words.

But don‘t expect any support there: this is a „one way communication“ channel only.

You might get help from other users that experience(d) the same here:

I appreciate that many people are having issues and feel for you guys. I on the other hand have had very few in my experience with the sim. Maybe I’m just not flying in areas that have issues.

Can someone give me a scenario that will break the sim, so I can test it on my computer please?

Mention in the scenario:

Server
Location or flight plan
Altitude flown at
Weather conditions
Time of day
Multiplayer settings to consider
Aircraft (I don’t use the A320 mod)
Any specific approach if relevant

I’ll come back to you with the results.

I did a test flight post-hotfix update and am now getting stutters and freezing. Tested the same flight 4 times with same results.

After WU4 everything was smooth for the most part (except the LA area).

After the hotfix, old issues performance issues are back. I’ve cleared rolling cache and removed all mods in community folder. Still get freezing and stuttering.

Depart KFXE and fly west to the florida turnpike. Then follow it south. Where the turnpike and I595 intersect west of KFLL the freezing and stuttering begin and become pretty bad for me.

Time: real time
Server: usa east
Weather: real weather
Aircraft: piper arrow
Altitude : 1000-1600 ft

I have RTX2070S, 32GB RAM, 3700x

Exactly my point. No need to be rude or condescending. If someone doesn’t like the question, move on rather than get stuck into them.

Is it a background update on Steam? I got no updates when I launched the Sim, but my version number is correct.

Which pic do YOU prefer, is it bad thing that they have probably altered the LOD? and you would rather have the first. I may be wrong but you seem to be implying you prefer the first one.

Profile still showing everything in community folder as “Not Installed” Not the end of the world, but still a pain in the… I do have in some cases duplicates of the same airports, whether a 3rd party released a better one then default or in some cases when a much stronger version comes out from another dev, for example “Samedan” has 3 versions, I have an early version then jumped on the ORBX release. Same for Vancouver, or Keywest. Nice to know what the heck is going on

No update for me on MS Store. Live in Italy

What Im saying is that the mist doesnt belong there. If its a clear day you should be able to see a great distance, but with the mist / haze effect you tend to see the only a few miles ahead. It reminds me of the 1970’s when Id drive downtown, and you couldnt see downtown because of the smog.

I’m Italian, too.. I’ve got it friday night when it came out, it’s not location dependent…

Of course it does there is always some mist in the distance. That second pic was much better than the first. My main hobby is photography and I quite often have to get rid of mist.
