Of course it does there is always some mist in the distance. That second pic was much better than the first. My main hobby is photography and I quite often have to get rid of mist.
Is this normal I tried to update to version 1.15.8.0 and it appears that it did a complete reinstall with 172.87GiB of content. Is this correct??

This hotfix seems to have killed performance for many, Iām down from 30-40 FPS to 15-20 FPS with terrible stuttering.
Did you verify files in Steam?
Once upon a time, a Steam verify would necessitate a full reinstall of MSFS, so you might want to check that this issue has been addressed before doing it.

Steam verify will still download all the files did it just the other day.
After this hotfix my performance was 3 times better than before. Very soon I realized though that the update messed with my graphics settings (in this case setting them much lower). I have noticed several times that updates can randomly change your graphics settings. So, for those that get stutters, maybe itās worth checking if your graphics settings got changedā¦
Never do that with MSFS. You Will redownload the entire game

Sounds something like that what we see in the sim at the moment.
The main question is: Is it a ggod idea to uninstall / not install a security update
IMO, thatās really not an impossible ask, right now. I have pared back almost all of my scenery settings to levels that result in an extremely smooth, consistent, and predictable flight.
Notice that I did not say ābug freeā. But frankly, I donāt truly think there is a piece of software of this complexity anywhere, old or new, that is 100% bug-free.
The result is the ability to fly basically anywhere, in any of the default aircraft, without stutters, CTDs or āslide-showā frame rates.
Given, the scenery is not near the quality of those 4k video clips shown on the promotional sites. But man, I have to say itās still head and shoulders above FSX!
