Since the world update, I’m barely breaking 20 fps at my local airport, which is autogen. And there’s no PG for my area. It’s all auto-gen as well. Cache will make no difference.

Are you sure about that? I’m not sure most people really know what the ■■■■ caches do! Both Rolling and Manual. After some testing, it’s been my observation that caching only caches building textures and maybe some building data from the autogen (blackshark buildings). It certainly does NOT cache any aerial imagery. I tried manually caching an area and then when into offline mode to see the results. All aerial imagery was gone and replaced with landclass-type textures we used to see in FSX. Someone tell me I’m wrong.

I normally watch the live session of Q&A but this time I missed it, so I’ve just watched the replay on twitch.

But I didn’t enjoy it at all because of the adverts - not just their presence interrupting the flow of the vieo (every 10 minutes), but the difference in volume between the video and the ads. I was listening on earphones (my wife being in the same room), and I had to turn up the volume to hear what was being said as the level seemed to be very low. So when an advert came on (at the normal excessive volume for adverts) it was quite a shock each time and in the case of one advert which itself started with a loud bang, this was not just annoying but painful, not helped by the wife finding amusement in my discofort. I had to resort to keeping an eye on the time, and when the next 10 minutes were nearly up, I removed my headphones and waited for the advert to come and go before replacing them. Not a good solution.

Is there anywhere else I can watch the Q&A sessions without this problem? If not, I don’t think I’ll bother anymore - from what I heard, there was not much new I hadn’t already read in the forums anyway.

I put the video on my YT channel available with subtitles, as always nothing on the official channel. I started recording the video on twich at 8h40 pm, encoded it, uploaded it to YT, at 0:30 am ,the HD processing was finished and ready to broadcast. I put it in playback this morning. For what awaits the subtitles. PS: the subtitle comes from automatic translator of YT

YouTube are getting obsessed with adverts as well, though - I’ll have to try hard to watch the live version in future!

Yes, they finally aired it last night, next time I’ll do it the day after, so I can watch the Q&A with subtitles right away and not wait 8 days and be able to participate in the discussion if needed as soon as it is released.

But subtitles are NOT enabled!! I find the volume is way too low on Twitch and unfortunately it also seems to be quite low on Youtube this time as well. Please @Jummivana enable subtitles on the Q&A.

They had a bug this time, usually they post within 24 hours, I think the last couple of times even within an hour or 2.
But you could do it to be safe.
