can confirm you CAN NOT use mouse and keyboard on the cloud version…ugh
I was literally using my keyboard with it. This may be a compatibility issue with the Xbox One. Worth looking into.
Looking forward to playing MSFS on my phone while I’m away from my PC.
Great to see aviation becoming more accessible to people! I really hope this doesn’t limit the overall scope and power of the sim as we saw with SU5’s Xbox introduction…
isn’t recognized… go to options see nothing but mouse and keyboard works with other games
There may be confusion on my end here. I was getting the keyboard to work, but it may not have been working within the sim. Just like system commands and stuff. You may be entirely correct. AFK now so I cannot test further yet.
I was trying to get the controller to default at the time and had forgotten the fix had to be performed on PC.
can not start PC version of game because my PC is broken. Have not been able to play for a month. How can i reset my controller profile from the Xbox One X? Would love to fly again since the game load up from the cloud.
well, if anybody figures out a way to use mouse and keyboard on the cloud services through OG xbox one please reply to this or mention me till then its too difficult to navigate
This is a ridiculous achievement! The technical challenge in making this work is significant.
I fired it up on my android phone, connected a PS4 dualshock controller, started the game, went to content manager and installed Impulse Sim’s YPAD and WU7 PG and scenery, which was all quite quick.
I then took off from YPAD in an XCub and flew around the area. Unlike my series X with all this stuff installed locally I didn’t get any huge pauses, it didn’t CTD, and the PG in the city looked much better. There was a little jerkiness in the display from the streaming video feed but not as bad as native on my series X.
All told an amazing experience considering I was using a phone. Well done MS! If anything it does highlight the problems of running MSFS on series X right now. There’s a huge thread on this currently. For sure the platform is capable since the series S runs it smoothly, Asobo just need to tune it to match the series X performance properly. Unlike PC users there’s are no graphics configuration options and so nothing the users can to improve it.
I wonder how well it performs?
Connecting over the cloud to a game that itself is connecting to the cloud.
Yo dawg…
Wait a sec, I loaded it up real quick to see how it looked and noticed that all the premium planes were available to me. I don’t own the premium version, what gives?
Apparently Microsoft. Although are you sure that is not just new to you GOTY planes?
Check your content manager, too. You may have more to download.
Nah it was Premium planes like Sirus. I loaded up the sim normally and they are not there as to be expected, they only show on the cloud version.
Enjoy! There’s some fun planes in that bundle.
Yeah I’ve wanted to try out the Longitude but didn’t feel the premium upgrade was worth it. Too bad I can only fly it on the cloud version.
For the extra planes alone, the bundle is worth it.
The Shock Ultra is a blast on a gamepad.
I just opened the cloud version of the game. First flight went well, but when I tried to do a second the game wasn’t responding to my controller. This has never happened in the normal version and in the cloud version in any of the menu screens, the controller works fine. Only when I’m actually controlling a plane it doesn’t work.
I tried it on Edge on my PC.
Works well but none of my peripherals work (Keyboard, Mouse, Hotas).
Only the Xbox controller works.
Is this by design oder am I doing something wrong ?
Think it’s a limit of the service.
