Working with Zendesk and they want me to create a second Xbox profile to test MSFS because they think it is a credential issue. They asked me to provide proof of purchase since I must be a thief (em Microsoft Support you would think they could look up my gamer tag and Hotmail email and trackback all the data that Microsoft has ever collected on me.)
But, I cannot seem to find anywhere in Xbox where I can create a second Xbox gamer tag. Any ideas?
Hi
I am on a PC
The leveries were downloaded from Flightsim.to
I re download them yesterday after ensuring they were marked as compatible with sim update 7
But it is so strange that if I tick them on the addon linker to be displayed then the content manager goes to zeros, the circle don’t stop turning trying to display something. If I untick them the content manager is displayed in a second
I’m not sure how your addon linker works, it may be the issue, but just put those livery folders directly in your Community folder.
Then when you plan a flight from the world globe screen, select the airplane, then the liveries from the on-screen menu.
Hi yes, out of LEMD southeast.
Actually when you just take off you see like a ray of light in the distance that’s why I head towards it and then turned into that wall
Just checked it again and it is there yet
I hope you don’t mind me asking
So you know why the cockpit in some places look pink?
If you get close to them the come back to normal but if you distance they turn to pink
No, I couldn’t find anything.
I flew on a heading of 135 degrees out of LEMD in the 747, and could not find anything like that.
I have seen similar in the sim though, but not in this area.
I have found that often this is from a scenery conflict.
I wonder if you addon linker is playing bad with the sim?
I use symbolic links myself. I keep all my addons in a folder outside the sim structure, and link the ones I want to use in the particular session to the community folder.
There are a few I use in every session, these I leave in the Community Folder permanently.
That keeps the size down in the Community folder, and also prevents conflicts, and speeds up the loading time.
Noted
That is really sad to read as now I need to identify what is causing that, I have around 1.500 addons and makes it boring to test. That’s liveries, freeware, payware and of course Orbx.
I sometimes hate updates becuase of these kind of things
Thank you for checking
How do you do the symbolic link?
I believe it works the same as the addon linker
I wrote to the AL for him to check is something is wrong
I edited the post about to ask about the pink cockpit in case you might know how to fix that if you don’t mind me asking
The two biggest issues with Australia in the past were - the trees were way too tall, especially around towns, and remote bush tracks in the middle of no-where with default street lighting made the country look like a Disney fairy land.
Trees ae still too tall. have not checked the night lighting.
Interesting test! A+ Rating, <5ms download / upload. Oddly, my bandwidth is lower (MUCH MUCH lower) than what I get from steam or pulling HBO Max etc, but PLENTY for MSFS:
Anyone here who has flown over Adelaide and surrounds since WU7 and found the blood red shadows and hills a little off-putting please cast a vote on Adelaide, SA, Australia - Red Wash
But look at your low latency gaming, there is an issue there, that latency is causing resends, which in turn will cause your ‘melted bldgs’ problem. If you have anti-bufferbloat modem, or qos, see if you can trim the values down a few percentage points until you get 0 score on download and upload active fields.
I figured out the issue here, it seems to be docsis 3.1. I was running a cm1000 3.1 modem, and the also tried the providers 3.1 and had an issue as above, so I reverted back to a docsis 3.0 modem and so far XXX on wood, all my problems have disappeared. So like I said see if you can use the qos/bufferbloat feature on your router to trim your speed pack a few percent, and get those latency scores down to 0-1 …
Interesting will have to play with it I guess. My modem is already 3.0 and my router doesn’t have any anti-bufferbloat features outside of QoS, which ironically makes this “problem” much worse. A+ sub 5ms latency or 100ms added latency makes zero difference in the melted building quality on my end.
While I don’t doubt this has some impact, seems extreme to chase latency to this level just to stream data from a server that can’t even begin to utilize the available bandwidth I have to begin with. I suspect that is probably the biggest issue here, and one that is also that is widely reported.
Download speeds during updates/data streaming are EXTREMELY poor and have been since day one; 10 - 15MBs (100Mbps - 150mpbs) is the best I can get from any of the MSFS services. Steam, movie streaming services, etc can max out my ISP no problem. (600mbs service now, see HIgh 400’s low 500’s on a regular basis) All the tricks tips etc from the thread below have been explored, zero impact.
Not killing my experience, 90% of my flights are non-PG areas, but I do like to explore from time-2-time and it’s a real bummer seeing bombed (everything) with PG on. The Gold Coast is a real disappointment…
