not sure but hope so

Dear Micorosft and Asobo teams,

You folks are BLOWING MY MIND and I need to tell you…

To me, MSFS was a 10 on 10 on the hype scale before launch, which is good for (pre) sales but not a great place to be for meeting expectations. My biggest concern at the time was that I’d be hugely disapointed on release day. I mean, never before have I scheduled a day off work on a game/sim release day.

And yet you managed not only to meet the hype on day zero, but continue to impress with each update! And no, I’m not easy to please, especially when it comes to software, being a software developer my self.

Another fear I had was that all the work done by blackshark.ai and Asobo to produce a high fidelity world would start to take a back seat once 3rd party scenery creators would jump on, making the situation for us no different than traditional flight sim setups. You know, where 10x of the $ is spent on scenery packs and the like because the sim developers are not incentivized to improve the content. I’m aware that you had promised us world updates, but now (already!) we are seeing these, starting with Japan in Update 3. Unbelievable! I can’t wait to see the other world updates you have in store for us … and hopefully Canada

Finally, your communication through forums, Zendesk, Discord, Twitter, and live streams is fantastic.

All to say, bloody well done and thank you.

Cheers,
A fan

What benefits does this mean for us the players?

Nice post… truly. Crazy that we can have such different experiences/opinions. I think their communication has definitely improved week over week, I’d like to see more “hot fix” or “urgent” communication when things are broke. And the consistency of how good the sim looks needs a TON of improvement.

The sensitivity menu bug was not listed in the bugs screenshot but I assume it will also be fixed with this upcoming Japan patch.

That’s already been confirmed

yes, I didn’t see that Patch 3 and Japan were together on same date. We got it answered.

I wouldnt bet on it. It still says work in progress vs the rest of them marked as “fixed in update 3”

Better rendering engine. When XPlane went to Vulkan, I got almost double the frame rates and a nice graphical boost without having to adjust anything.

Um, where is the update for ENVA? I have trees all over the airport. Aerosoft updated almost a week ago if not over and its still not on the marketplace

Great to see Gaya Sim (who makes stuff for ORBX) as a partner. Also good to see SPECIFIC issues and their statuses. Absolutely great feedback snapshot today!

And future DX12 update explicitly mentioned (so it’s confirmed)!

I’m sure they fixed lots of bugs that aren’t even mentioned, some bugs are more complicated then others, think of how much code goes into MSFS.

Different teams. Core sim and scenery is separate. I’m sure the 3D modelers and scenery devs aren’t the ones fixing the avionics and aircraft issues :joy:
