I understand what you are getting at but the items you mentioned, Go Arounds, Taxiways, etc. are directly related to the Asobo AI and ATC in the sim, not AIG.
Running just the stock sim AI traffic will give the same Gong-Show you described with or without AIGTC. In fact AIG is the ONLY reason AsoboSofts in sim AI are even remotely usable.
PSXT - Real Traffic is basically what were (are) going to get if AsoboSoft ever gets around to implementing the ‘Real-Time’ traffic feature already in the sim. There are just to many variables and technical limitations to make it work smoothly without A LOT of code running in the background to compensate. I think Asobo found that out late in the game and that is why it was not finished at release and why they are in no hurry to pick it back up and start working on it again, if ever.
Maybe someone could develop a standalone AI/ATC/Traffic program that just simply connected to FS2020 to get position updates for your fight and fit YOU into the (sim) world rather than trying to fit the (whole) world into you. Whole lot less resource intensive than trying to update, calculate and render hundreds/thousands of ‘Live’ aircraft in relation to you.
What the sim needs (or we need in addition to the sim) is ‘Simulated Real-TIme Traffic’. Take real world flight plans and departure/arrival times, throw them into the (a) sim with a good ATC system then I either take over a pre-planned flight or file my own FP and the sim ATC fits it into the current schedule. No, I am not talking about VATSIM. This would be standalone (offline). Making it online would be a secondary consideration.
Anyway, just a lot of ramblings from a frustrated flight simmer. Really just want to make sure AIG is not taking the blame for Asobo’s Frankenstein.
Hi, I was using PSXT and RealTraffic but since sim update 10 ( beta), it does not seem to work in FS anymore. Does anyone know if it works or not ? Thanks

Is it just the way it is, that aircraft don’t inject to airports until you land at them? I approach an airport, I see departures and arrivals but only once I land, so I see aircraft at cars and taxiing
Double check your parked settings and also the distance you have set for overall injection. I haven’t had any issues with arriving at an empty airport that wasn’t populated until I landed.
I’m not positive but I think even with addons having their own injections they are still limited by MSFS is some way. With FSLTL I’ve seen planes land maybe 4 times. With FSHud never seen one land. With FSHud+ FSLTL I’ve never seen one taxi, land, or takeoff. And with default AI I might see one or two taxi.
So no matter how hard these other developers work at making their product decent it will still be limited…
I’ll be honest, the setting for me in PSXT aren’t as ‘obvious’ for a first time user. I have my radius to 80nm so I assume that fine. The 2 settings above, they have the word ‘matching’ in. Not sure what they are? But I have the one on the left set at 8 and the parking one set at 1. 0 isn’t possible.
Matching follows a tier process. Default of 8 which means it’ll go through 8 stages to match the aircraft to the data. Depends on how in depth you want matching. 8 means it’ll match through all tiers and you’ll get 100 depiction of the aircraft type and livery. Setting to one I think matches between the difference between being a regional vs not like DAL vs DALX and accounts for the callsign used. Play around with it.
Parking set at one would mean that unless it can match down to the level of parking code/atc use/etc. That’s why your fields are empty. Depending on your AI installed, you don’t have enough “coverage” of ai models/paints/variations to use that level of accuracy. Just bump it to 8. It’ll fill em up.
Rule of thumb. The lower the #'s the more accurate the match. The higher the broader the requirements for showing a plane based on the data.
10$ to alleviate virtually every related issue with the current AI system sans losing ATC which can be supplemented, depends on how much the AI system annoys you I suppose.
Well yeah 10 dollars isn’t a crazy amount to at least try it. But also I’ve seen plenty of “horror” reports of people having frames so low from it that they can’t even fly in the sim.
As well as the planes are only in the sim when at an airport or below a certain speed. Now all of that could be user error. Just depends if you want to spend 10 dollars and potentially get a product that does not work well with your computer.
Also I have not seen a single video or stream where it actually shows the product working while flying. It’s always just someone sitting at an airport…

Don’t know where you got these horror reports from, but the fps is about the same as with AIG/TC or FSLTL. There are hundreds of users of PSXT, the program runs with FSX , P3D and MSFS for 7 years now, so it is certainly not vaporware, it is very mature, bug free, will never CTD…so it runs fine on your computer.
I’d recommend that you give it a one month try and make up your own judgment.
So how does it work with let’s say Pilot2ATC or proatc? I know those will not control them ai traffic which is fine. But do those programs still get to “talk” to those AI? Because I use those for my flying as I am not a fan of the default ATC…
The traffic is a literal simulated version of a real world aircraft. The sim, in some ways, doesn’t recognise their existence. ATC, default or third party will only recognise you.
It must be noted that when I say a literal copy, I mean exactly that. I saw a fedex MD11/DC10 doing doughnuts on the cargo apron at Sea-Tac. Quickly checked FR24 and there was the same
Aircraft glitching out in the same location.
No air traffic tracking app is perfect and therefore odd behaviour will follow.
I’m sure we will get to a point we’re the AI does follow the real routes and airways but will also follow the sims standard procedures.

That makes sense. The only ATC I know that controls the AI is FSHud and even that has plenty of issues. Which is why I haven’t used it in months. I tried last night and was not impressed with some of the same issues it’s had since day one.
Easily fixed by reducing the % of parked aircraft at the destination and only having live aircraft active. Can reduce it to 0 if you want. 10 planes total running around LAX shouldn’t cost a thing FPS wise.
