Still no fix for this post SU13? Sucks I have to keep Bloom off still.
Itâs also happening to me since updating to the latest nvidia driver version (DX12 and custom preset). Bloom workaround is still working for me but man these devs need to fix this issue. If anyone has got another workaround with bloom set to on, please share with us.

If anyone could post a thread regarding this problem in the Bug Reports section it would be great
This was the solution for me. Worked instantly.
Itâs a shame this hasnât been fixed in SU14. It only started on my system about 2 months ago after over 1 year on this PC build but now I canât use bloom. I couldnât pinpoint what changed at the time, the only thing I could think of was maybe that sky .exe mod but that was overwritten by SU14 so itâs canât be that.
Try moving fsx sharpening from 0 to 10 that fixes it for me (very strange) other than that yes turning off Bloom is the only solution
This is the issue. AMD Sharpenning cannot be zero. I remember this bug when it was first introduced into the simulator a couple of SU ago. Hopefully, moderators can combine this with the other threads reporting the same.
I had the same flashing under DX12 and tried everything in this thread with no success. For me, I was able to trace it back to any âMXAOâ shaders. When one of them is active, I get the flashes. When I deactivate them, the flashes disappear. BTW, I did try moving it/them to the top of the list of options as the text advises, but the flashes continued and didnât stop until I deactivated it.
If youâre still having the problem and you use Reshade, give that a try. As a secondary option, if youâre using Reshade, deactivate it altogether and see if that works.
I was having the exact same issue after changing hardware, under DX12 those same white screen flashing and only bloom OFF or DX11 would stop that.
If you have Sharpen 0 in PostProcess Section in UserCfg.opt, try turn it to 1. This seems to have fixed the issue for me.
Maybe sharpening and bloom effect are linked somehow and turning it off breaks bloom causing those flashes.

Same issue. Intermittent but frequent flashes in VR at the periphery of vision with DX12 and bloom on. Does not occur using DX11.

Same here in DX12 only, turning off bloom resolves the issue.

has anyone managed to resolve this with dx12 and bloom on? It still doesnât seem fixed to me
No, itâs still an issue.
Weirdly, I tried just today to turn Bloom back on and still had the flashing
It seems maybe to be related to light hitting the âvirtual cameraâ i.e. your viewpoint at a certain angle.
Itâs a shame because the sim looks much better with it turned on.
I think the bug remains. I prefer bloom on so stick with dx11

I donât use VR and have been getting this flashing for 2 months now, never had it before and canât pinpoint what changed to start it. Latest nvidia drivers, 4090 with FG on, DX12. I want bloom back on for daytime flying.

Interesting. I have the Quest 3 and with DX12 and using ASW in sunny conditions with the link cable, I get flashing skies predominatly on my left. I tried turning bloom off and I donât remember this having any affect.
It could be possible weâre discussing two completely different forms of flashing, Iâve not tried in DX11 but I do know the flashing doesnât occur when disabling ASW and is also doesnât occur using VD with or without SSW. Cloulds also take the flashing away.

yes

RTX 3090 Ti here
I never had this problem - until I set AMD Fidelity FX to 0.
At first I thought it was a problem of the latest nVidia driver (546.29) which I installed at the same time, but going back to my former driver 537.42 didnât solve the problem.
Setting AMD Fidelity FX to a non-0 value again solved the problem for me.
(tested it quickly with a value of 100)
