This post is for features that will improve the gaming experience, my humble 2c

  1. Let the user choose to defer updates, unless not updating will break the sim. Gaming time is precious , and having the option to update the game later is nice.

  2. Integrated action replay of last x seconds ( like legacy FS )

  3. Simplify the camera system with default canned views ( spot, chase, tower, runway, ac exterior, interior and panels) bound to keys or buttons. Love the new system , but it’s a lot of fiddling every flight.

  • having the possibility to export/import the flightcontrol settings/profiles. would save setup time after a sim resinstall and profiles can be shared by users
  • having the possibility to automatically load in a flightcontrol profile, depending on the aircraft loaded

May I suggest scanning the Wishlist category and look for existing topics. If they are listed, vote for them. If not, consider creating the topic for forums members to vote. It is through the Wishlist category that new, or improved items are considered for implementation by Asobo.

You can use the search system by clicking on the magnifying glass on the top navbar. You can make use of the advanced search system by clicking the options link in the search box. Don’t forget to discuss what, why and how. One topic per submission.

Have the peripheral setup the same as in X-Plane 12 which is a heck of a lot easier to setup. FWIW

Players cannot defer from updates.
Everyone must play in the same sand-box.

I get the wishlist …. but that’s a sea of items … and not all of them are quality of life… point taken though!

Being able to favorite aircraft would be good, this is already in the wishlist category.

This is not an attempt to criticize, but there is already a topic that coveres these things and some of these issues have already been discussed there.

Controls profiles are storen in the cloud and hdd/ssd.
For example

c:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\numbers

I know. Missing bridges are not a quality of life issue … maybe the true wishlist item is to create a QOL category ….

these aren’t wishes, these are features that —used to be functional in fs, but aren’t anymore , detracting from it IMHO.

Unfortunately, that has gone off the rails a bit. It started being about BUGS. Now it’s about wishlist items. The lack of a feature isn’t a bug.

Definitely need the old FSX camera views back like tower view etc. I keep trying to recreate landing view’s where the camera pans to folloe thebplane but always seem to end up with the view suddenly going bonkers and spinning round to look at the ground or something. Very annoying!

Ability to assign controller profiles to specific aircraft. If not possible, then a drop down menu to be able to easily pick the right controller profile, instead of trying to advance through the profiles, without enough time to select the one you need.

This without compromise. No half-baked implementation where we still have to manually select from drop downs (although that would be an improvement over the current).

There’s no reason this can’t be done so that if you choose to assign a controller profile to a particular airframe that it loads automatically every time.

within folder \wgs\ there is no folder caled \nubmers
but there are two folders called:
\000901F02DD90F73_00000000000000000000000069F80140
\t

the \t is empty.
the other one contains many other folders:

and now where do i find the profiles? the name of the files in this folders are somehow cryptic and do not correspond to any name of my flight controls.

However, yes, there seems to be a place where the profiles are stored, but we are looking for something user friendly.
