Yep that’s how it was for me to started off normal is getting slower and slower as it goes.
Yes MIne is at only 1mbps now still with 15gb to go
On a 900mbps connection here lol…
Reckon I will cancel and try again in a few days, go and play something else for now
Please keep posts here respectful even if it’s annoying so this vote doesn’t get closed.
Also weird that it’s around that file and it’s the same for everyone… i’m at 47.fspatch005 now and downloading speed is around 50mb/s again… Till 47.fspatch.001 it was also reasonably quick
VPN seems to work - for me anyway - was in a loop with 2mb speed - using expressVPN and NEw York server and my download is away and moving up now
Sorry. This is just unacceptable from Microsoft. Maybe they deserve it.
~ 1 Mbits
15 GiB to go…
I never had it that bad!
I expected slow speeds since everyone is doing this at once, but they should scale up, ya know? I really wanted to fly on my day off:-(
That wasn’t really aimed at you but if we want it looked at abuse won’t get us anywhere.
Yup, vpn sorts it.
Each time I restart, it’s fast up to the percentage it got slow before.
So most of the traffic could be restart.
I think servers do a good job when starting giving a file, then it drops to other user starting that same file.
Big files are a problem.
I did not have any trouble going through 1.47. Completed normally.
I turned off TCP/iv6 and without rebooting went from 1 to 30Mbs and downloaded the file in seconds
I guess it comes from where you download from, actually I could DL 10 times faster,
It might be necessary to change their method, download the complete package and proceed with the installation of our hard disk, instead of doing it in a row, and give the maximum speed to those like me who have 1000 Mbps, so that in 10 minutes it’s loaded and leave the bandwidth to those who have less.
Maybe try force quitting the MSFS executable (from the Windows task manager) and starting it again, it fixed the loop for me. (it won’t redownload everything, just pick up where it left off). Could help
Well they need to upgrade servers to be able to feed … a googol Bytes per second…
It will pick up with the last file it started downloading so you should be fine. I’ve had to restart it because of a crash and the second time the D/L speeds were significantly improved so maybe give that a shot first
Took me 20 min to download/install
Killing the .exe and restarting it again seemed to work for me also.
Mine just popped back up to 90MBps. Yeehaw!
