I’m in France and it seems to be the same for just about everyone according to this post - 2 - 3Mbps as well. Now and then it explodes and reaches 60 - 70 Mbps for about 1 minute and then it drops back down again to 2/3 Mbps…

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Every download in the Content Manager sits at 2-3Mbit/s for most of the time. After a few minutes download speed increases, but it is reset back to 2-3Mbit/s for every next .fspackage file being downloaded.
The same repeats even if I download a package, delete it, and download it again all within one MSFS session. Whatever caching your CDN servers have, I don’t see it.

Yes.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

The Content Manager starts the dowloads of the package files extremely slow, 2-3 Mbit/s. After a few minutes it manages to go up to 150 Mbit/s, but before finishing the package (around 70% completion) it goes down to 2-3 Mbit/s again. This is repeated the same number of times the number of packages a product has.
I have 1000/1000 internet line and FS is the only program which does this, everything else (e.g. Steam) downloads normally.

Downloading the last update of Dune expansion in content manager and the download speed is throttling between my max bandwidth ( 15MB/s) and a low 2MB/s. My connection is otherwise fine, thank you.

Basically, during the reinstallation process of msfs on a different driver, i had to pause the installation once cuz I had to shut down my pc. After restarting, download speeds shot down the a whopping 3-4 mbits per second. My hard drive is clearly not the issue, spiking 5 percent of its capacity. I have at least 1000 mbps of internet speed, and I have tried plugging out and plugging back in the ethernet cable. No improvement.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No, no changes made in Developer Mode.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and add-ons?

Yes, the issue persists even without mods and add-ons.

Brief description of the issue:

The download speed for packages in Microsoft Flight Simulator is only capped at 2 Mbit/s. As a result, Xbox takes about 2 days to download updates, which is unacceptable. The Xbox automatically shuts down in standard and power-saving settings after a short time, requiring all settings to be disabled to continue the download. This significantly distorts the playtime and leads to immense frustration.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

(Please insert appropriate screenshots/videos here if available.)

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

  1. Start downloading packages in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
  2. Observe the download speed, consistently around 2 Mbit/s.
  3. Wait and notice that the Xbox shuts down automatically in energy-saving settings, interrupting the download.
  4. Need to disable all energy-saving functions to complete the download.

Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version:

(Since the issue occurs on Xbox, this might not be relevant.)

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Xbox with cable internet based on Docsis 3.1, tested with ISPs Vodafone Germany (formerly Unitymedia BW) and Cable 4, without changing DNS entries.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

The build version is irrelevant, as this bug has been present since release.
