Famous Flyer III: Beechcraft Bonanza V35

It feels like the inside cockpit sounds are based on a good pair of ANR headsets, because with the window/or door open the volume is much closer to what I remember from my cheap ASA’s. And the reduction in engine noise when closing the window is pretty similar to how much quieter the gear/flap motor sound to what I’d expect.

That being said definitely happy with taking the plunge on this, pretty easy to adjust to from a conventional tail 33 series outside a few quirks (setting TO trim to 3 up was an interesting ride). On a quick skim pretty happy with the depth on the include Bendix King avionics, still need to dig out some old manuals and dive further on those though.

The POH stated it was for the V35B, not the K35.

Yes, exactly. The placard at the the fuel selector indicates that the airplane is equipped with the optional 80 gallons fuel tank. So I hope Carenado will correct that with an upcoming update.

That’s not a POH. It’s the manual of an old FS2002 addon. And also not correct. The values in that manual are for the original Model 35 and not the V35B: Bonanza 35

■■■■ it! :joy:. Time to look again in that case for a real one.

This one looks legit I hope.

That one seems good yes.

So it looks like they have the 6gals unusable right, but not the total capacity. 44gals vs 50.

Yep, exactly what I posted. So either 25 or 40 gallons per wing, none of this 22 gallon stuff.

Where did they get that from I wonder? Probably another sim-POH.

It might just be me but can you actually use NAV2 with AP to navigate with?

NAV2 is displayed in the left most CDI and is set via the dial on the RHS of the KX165 (the one with the red LED frequencies displaying), and you can easily tune a fequency in and it displays on CDI, you can even turn the knob on the Bendix/King under the main CDI to show DME to NAV2 (if it’s available),

BUT

I can’t see a method of setting the AP to follow a VOR tuned on NAV2, or a switch to toggle AP between NAV1 and NAV2.

Anyone know of a method or is it not possible?

I haven’t seen a switch for that, INOP or otherwise.

There should be one though. I’ve looked high and low. So currently NAV2 is only good for DME and for calculating radials, but not much else.

Thanks, I did see that US update screen also, but did not pay much attention to it. In my case MSFS just launches normal (only after CTD I get the question of I want to start in “safe modus” or not. Could it be server related? I’m on EU server. Also trying now other planes. I bought the Beechcraft Bonanza V35 yesterday and since that moment irregular CTD’s while flying it…

I’ve had 4 or 5 flights with it now, and no crashes so far.

I’m not sure about the files need to mod the plane, but the camera.cfg file is not encrypted in the S10 Beta.

I didn’t like the quick view to the right zooming in to the co-pilot’s window, so I changed that.

I like how on the ground you can open the window and how the engine sound changes, as in louder.

I like these little things in the sim. This is my first 3rd party aircraft I purchased on Xbox and I like all the little things this aircraft offers like opening and closing of doors/windows.

Not sure if any of the sims default aircraft offer that.

Is it an Nvidia driver error? There are many CTD reports at the moment (see the forum elsewhere), not related to this plane. Seems to affect quite a lot of people, reason unknown.

We are likely all using different combinations of hardware, but I’m using latest NVidia game ready driver 516.94 and have been using it with FS since it came out a couple of weeks ago with no issues. I haven’t had a CTD probably for over a month, but 3 when using this aircraft. However I’ve now had 2 CTD free flights tonight! Will see how it goes tomorrow.

Loving this aircraft though, its so nice. Pictured here into EGPF R23 after a old style VOR IFR flight down from EGPO.
