Famous Flyer III: Beechcraft Bonanza V35

Been trying most of the morning to buy it, but I get sale pending then sale cancelled. Why?

I don’t care whether there are some switches that don’t work if the basic systems work correctly. There will always be planes that are more complex than others, and in the end that’s being reflected in the price as well. I don’t expect the same level of complexity for 15,-€ than for a 30,-€ plane.

I’ll keep it short:

Very nice!

Nice casual flyer that is not too system deep, but looks ■■■■ good and sounds extremely sexy. Typical quality from Carenado. And with 15€ also not too expensive.

For me, the Bonanza V35 is way up front in the hangar! :ok_hand::+1:

Same boat… JF Turbo Arrow has spoilt default aircraft for me unfortunatley.
Would love to pick it up but my expectations may be misaligned.

Anyone fly it on Xbox?

Tempted to get this plane, but want to be sure it’s ok on Xbox, no ctds?

Well, of course Carenado’s modelling and texturing quality doesn’t stop on the outside, the interiors are modelled just as well. As for the systems, the most important stuff works and we are still talking about $15 aircraft here. Of course I want the A2A Bonanza, but she ain’t here and won’t be for a looooong time still, if ever.

They aren’t anything support important, but its true that I have become accustomed to higher fidelity, non-marketplace planes.

I have them both. This one reminds me so much of the arrow. The instruments/layout/interior are different though. You could imagine you are in a piper but with Carenado sounds etc. Apart from the V-Tail it also looks quite like the Pipers too. Beautifully done mind you, great price, just wish it was more stable on my system. Two sim crashes now 5 - 10 miutes into flight.

I’ve spent a few hours with it and all is good on my end mate. I’m also on Beta so that is likely helping to. Go get it I say.

I was surprised at how much seemed enabled on my brief two flights this morning. Not piper level enabled, but quite a lot seems active switch wise. Definitely worth it considering the price of the more expensive equivalents out there.

It’s certainly a good £12 plane, whatever that is, and I look forward to flying it some more over the weekend. I’ve never been in one of these but you can definitely tell a difference between it, and other low wing planes like the Warrior II from a stability perspective. It always wants to roll around on you.

Will do, looks a lovely looking plane.

I might actually join the beta on xbox.

Today August 18, 2022 I purchased and installed the newly released Bonanza V35B. It is a nice looking aircraft and handles well.

I have three initial issues

  1. There is no POH or even a Checklist that I can find - has anyone found one?
  2. The info from MSFS is contradictory as they indicate a “cruise” of 170 KIAS but the ASI shows a “maximum” of 160 (170 would be in the yellow arc).
  3. The engine sounds are extremely lower than normal.
  1. Search this thread for a POH - you’re right the plane doesn’t come with much docs
  2. Yeah that must be a mistake, I tend to cruise around 150 too
  3. Can’t confirm that, it doesn’t sound quieter (or louder) than other planes to me

It’s definitely quieter than the Arrow, Warrior II, Cessna 414AW, and Twin Otter, all of which I regularly fly.

When you roll back to around 2000RPM, I think, its practically silent.

The first flight was very nice! I especially like the sense of inertia in turbulence and while taxiing on the ground. In the air the Bonanza gets thrown around realistically and organically and on the ground you have to slightly plan ahead, because the steering doesn’t snap immediately straight like an On/Off switch when you let go of the rudder.

Check that “billing” lists a valid credit card. Mine was expired, updated, and the purchase went through.

Has anyone found a button yet for the cargo door? Didn’t find a button yet to open the back of the cargo door. Only way to open it that I know of it is using the camera to move yourself back there.

I wanted to have a look back there, and my usual trick of looking either left or right, then holding one of the arrow keys down didn’t work. I couldn’t get past the front two seats.

You can! You just have to slide the camera right between those two front seats!
