Well well well
Just checked and they do appear on map as long as you have them managed by AOL (i.e. you have manually moved them out of the Official folder and tick them on again from AOL).
What was the cure?
Bingo!!!
Now go fly and enjoy before messing around with Mods and AOL! Plenty of time to tweak it whenever you want from now!
What was the issue?
What monitor are you using? 1080p is LOW for that system! Bump it up man!!
No, deleting from the content manager is always the best option. Some files are tied to missions, discovery flights, bush trips etc. and just deleting from one store can lead to issues. Unless you really need the space on your hardrive then leave well alone … but if you are desperate for space then (assuming you can) backup the files to a different drive so they can be easily recovered
I will invest when I can in a new monitor
I updated drivers and it worked
It was the chipset driver that needed to be updated
Thanks for the report and glad it’s working now.
Glad we managed to help
might be worth marking the post as solution for others in the future.
So after a fresh install and all checked over. We followed the advice specifically on this thread/topic and went through them one by one. Eventually and after checking the list we came to updating the drivers.
This led to the last one and it was the chipset.
First flight was installing UK scenery only and the PMDG 737.
Then onto setting the turtle beach flight yoke and pedals up and loaded into Luton. Flew to Newcastle and it was flawless
Many thank to you all who contributed. I really do appreciate this
Thought I’d pay a revisit to my original post as today I’m about to order my pc parts for my build as per my parts picker list.
I was going to hold off until later in the year but don’t really see prices coming down much more between now and then so I’m thinking time to go for it.

My concern I have about my build and moving over from the Xbox x is will I see a vast improvement over the Xbox after spending best part of £2k ? As it’s a fair chunk of money I think this question is probably the main reason for holding off as I’ll be really ■■■■■■ off if it’s not much better visually. What I mean is objects loading in as they should be without pretty much been on top of them like they are on the Xbox at the moment.
I’m also looking forward to the more choice of add ons and freeware available but the draw distance/objects popping in is my main concern and hoping this is much better on a descent pc spec👍
Congrats - I’m curious why is the CPU cooler’s radiator positioned at the front of the case? Are the fans on the radiator set up for push or pull?
There’s currently a promotion on the water cooling system you chose on the manufacturer’s website.

For sure mate.
I’m wondering why you didn’t include a monitor in the build you proposed?
I’m currently running the Xbox on a Hisense 43A6KTUK 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV so wanted to keep that for now and see how the pc runs on that ![]()
I think that is going to be a heck of a nice setup that won’t disappoint you. If I had to pick nits, it would be the GPU. If you are willing to spend that much for the 4070 Ti Super, I would look strongly at the 7900 XT. It was included in the video I linked back near the top of the thread comparing it to the 4070 Ti Super and 7900 GRE, and beats the Nvidia hands down in the sim. Plus it comes in a fair bit cheaper. Everything else looks solid.
Nice one thanks for the reply. Yes the GPU has proved a bit of a dilemma as Ive watched the vid you linked and just can’t decide which to choose as there’s also the 7900xtx for a bit more money but then I guess I need to draw a line somewhere due to my budget👍
I thought about mentioning the XTX, but didn’t for that same reason. The next step up is always “just a little bit more money.” Lol
Bits & boxes have turned up so hoping I can make a start on this the weekend. Thing is now all parts are here I have to confess it feels a little daunting as my first PC build.
PS. Guitar not part of this build
Don’t let it feel daunting. You are a fearless explorer forging a mighty path for the rest of us Xbox users that have to move to PC now.
For I am merely a mortal and have not ascended to PC ownership, I look to you good sir for your guidance and strength.
(Also, I’m sure all the helpful folks here will assist in any building/assembly questions you have! Kudos to all for helping send another one to the stars! ![]()
)
I am immensely jealous but simultaneously ecstatic for you, a new PC and look at that Triumph in your profile pic!

Thanks mate nice reply
. yep no doubt I will have plenty of questions if I get a bit stuck. Ah yes my T100 bonnie she’s a keeper ![]()
