Yep! That’s why I was surprised how it worked the other night! The issue is not resolved …

This is hit and miss for me now. I did OMDB-OBBI-OMDB, and no AI on return. Then I did LFOB-LGTS-LFOB-LFML-LFOB-LEAL - and I did have traffic back at LFOB each time. It’s very odd! Tomorrow I am trying EGPH-EBCI-EGPH-EKBI-EGPH, will see what traffic I have back at EGPH each time I go back!

It sure is hit and miss!
I did OIII-OITR-OIII-OING-OIII. First return to OIII no AI planes, second return all the AI planes were there. Did this all in one session! Very interesting! Hope they figure it out. But in general, the AI traffic that we see doesn’t correspond to the actual AI being generated by FSLTL or AIG except at the beginning. It slowly diminishes.

Just gone EGPH-LDZD, then went back to menu and started new flight at LDZD, when I got to EGPH, 3 A/C on approach, when landed…nothing…empty airport. This is so frustrating!

Yeah! Seems like this is a SimObject/SimConnect related issue! Hope they fix it too! Started with SU10 and still hasn’t been fixed!

Is anyone still seeing this issue happen? We fixed some of the remaining issues here in a previous build and have it marked as resolved, but would like to check first. Thanks!

Don’t see planes stuck but on the return flight we just don’t see any AI planes (most of the times). So the issue exists and there is definitely some limitation with the Simobject/simconnet that over time and on the return flight to an airport causes significant stutters and FPS degradation.

I use FSLTL for traffic and have switched off the default live traffic. The problem seems to have been solved, did a quick return flight from EGBB to EGNX to EGBB and the traffic was parked at the gates as expected upon return to EGBB. However, just before departing back to EGBB I did encounter this bug as well, Can’t Hear ATC and Other Aircraft after SU11 and lost all voices from ATC except the my own pilot.

Yes, sometime is all works and sometimes it doesn’t! I have had several flights that the AI planes were parked at the return airport and several flights that there was nothing (but lots of stutters and fps drop)! So there is some kind of an issue there which I hope Asobo can figure out. This issue did not exist before SU10.

I still have this everytime I return to the origin the first time. E.g. EGBB-EIDW-EGBB (no traffic) - LEBL-EGBB (traffic). I’ve just done LCPH-LGAV-LCPH, you can see the A/C on finals to LCPH but then they go around. It’s still not fixed and surely is something simple? I dont think enough people are flagging that this is an issue and such an immersion killer.

Yes, the issue is not resolved and seems to be related to Simconnect! In fact other programs have issues as a result of simconnect issue when you return to an airport.

Follow-up: same issue with return-to-origin flights. Did EDDF-LOWW-EDDF (see image). Airport is detected, number of parked a/c announced, but gates seem inaccessible to FSLTL. Surrounding airspace is populated. Really weird.

Yes! Last night at sat at OIII for a little after landing on a return flight and saw that AI planes would get within 200 feet of the runway while landing and right there they would disappear! Not sure if this is SimObject or Simconnect issue but sure hope Asobo fixes this! Mind you this was never an issue before SU10.

I have been having this problem for months, for example, when I leave SKBO to SKSM, I have to leave the simulator, go back in, reprogram everything from 0 and return to Bogota again to find traffic. This problem has not been solved. I hope they solve it. thank you so much!!!

Yes! This started with SU10. So it’s been a while! It’s been logged as a bug but has not been resolved yet, unfortunately!

I wonder if this issue will ever get fixed in MSFS!? Don’t see it in any discussions for Sim updates. I hope that at the very least MSFS 2024 won’t have this issue!

It’s been many months now and yes, it’s still broken, any plans to actually fix this?

One of my biggest issues, i hope we can get more attencion. I cannot do return legs (EHAM/EBBR/EHAM) happens with both AIG, FTLSL and FS Traffic.

Maybe we need to create a poll to vote to get this into the wishlist?

Yeah! I am amazed that this issue is not addressed! Not sure what else we can do! We have voted and there are other issues associated with this problem which include significant stutters, object disappearance on return flights, etc. which Asobo hasn’t addressed. It would be good to know if they at least know what’s the reason for this: Simobject limitation? SimConnect? And if it’s not solvable in MSFS 2020 because of its limitations, would it at least work in MSFS 2024? The funny thing is, everything was fine before SU10! What created this issue and why can’t it be addressed? A little transparency would be good.

This and lack of cloud turbulence (live weather) to me are the biggest issues in this Sim. There are many other issues (i.e. runway lights, night lights, haze layer, effects of humidity, AI Plane movements, taxi/runway nodes that make the AI planes jump, etc.) that should be fixed but these two are the first for an airliner sim players that I hope get addressed soon.
