Flight Planner and VFR MAP needs a revamp

Everything I’m going to write is to save time and make things more objective within the simulator and that would help a lot who plays via XBOX.

Waypoints:

Editing coordinates, altitude, speed, time and the name to refer to these waypoints would be the basics to be able to make a VFR flight using charts that MSFS does not have in its database.

Add a local or cloud storage for these waypoints so the coordinates don’t have to be re-entered every time a new flight is created.

It would save time on flight planning websites/softwares or charts, you would be focused only on the simulator and the Nav log would be much more useful.

METAR: Showing the METAR in the flight plan is something that should have been in the simulator since beta! When I first played it I was shocked to see that I couldn’t just point the mouse at an airport to show me the METAR.

Wind: The wind effect layer needs to be more objective. Low medium and high mean what exactly? 2,000ft? 10,000ft? +25,000ft? It is also necessary to show the exactly direction, an arrow pointing in any direction does not serve to tell me the exact position that the wind is blowing, it only helps me to know the wind speed and SUPPOSE a direction but the speed alone is not enough to plan propperly a flight.

Being able to access the flight plan after having already finished a flight is something that has already been talked about here but I think these things are BASIC things that need to be established before anything else (apart from serious bugs, CTD’s etc)

VFR Map: It could show static satellite images that the simulator itself uses. A recent problem happened to me: Doing visual navigation, I arrived on time over a waypoint which is a power station in the middle of nowhere but as some satellite images are outdated, the station was not there. If I could see the satellite image used in the simulator via the flight plan on the VFR map I could say, “okay it’s not there but that’s the sort of thing I’ll find once I get over it”. And then I look at the VFR map, look outside and compare.

There’s plenty of Wishlists to add these points to. This is one of over fifty results.
