It must be something Iâm missing, but I canât seem to get rid of the co-pilot Avatar and it gets in the way some switches.. I donât see any option for it in the EFB. Any advice?
I really like this update.
In particular, it feels like the optimization has been done better.
I can feel that the initial loading speed has also improved.
Hope this update doesnât mess with all my existing bindings for this aircraft.
Just got done flying it on tonightâs stream. Lots of optimizations, the EFB looks great, love the SimBrief integration. Sounds better, feels better, engine FADEC management is a lot smoother. Got rid of several issues that made it a bit jarring previously, now itâs butter all around.
Really, really well done. Made a great plane that much more enjoyable to fly.
I didnât have any issues with existing bindings. That said, this isnât a plane that Iâve bound to death (yet), but no issues for what has been done.
Big thumps up for PS5. The update is amazing. No more Lite liveries. Loads of details and the performance is even better than before. Love the rattling and shaking effects.
Great to have now the Lido charts on the tablet.
Hope they fix the missing animations and sounds on the FMC.
Iâm thrilled there isnât a lite version in my hangar anymore. I never understood why it was there as a separate aircraft you couldnât get rid of, rather than a subset of the main aircraft which is what every other developer does. Very pleased to just have one aircraft now.
Much thanks! I never would have figured out how to get rid of the co-pilot. Should be just one check box in the plane EFB.
I agree that this is an excellent update to an already nice aircraft.
I downloaded the V2 but only to âStreamingâ, canât seen to get it to install, Install fails every time. The stream version works fine, with the exception that it scrambled quite a few of my bindings.
No weather on my current flight path, but you can apparently set Auto or manual tilt angles (up or down from 0 to +/- 11 degrees) from the cockpit control.
Not sure why you feel the need to it install it rather than stream it. When I did the update (on PC) I had to set up my custom camera views again (like any first-time aircraft) but all my other bindings, which work for all the planes, are intact and work perfectly on this upgraded Citation.
Try switching to another aircraft as if you were going to start a flight then try the download. Sometimes the download doesnt work if you have the aircraft selected that requires the download still selected for a flight. I hope that makes sense.
4 flights in a row it wonât follow a Simbrief flight plan either LNAV or VNAV. CMH-IAH CMH-PHX.
Previous release was perfect. Playing on PC/XBOX setup. Intel I7 NVDA 5060ti
When thereâs talk about bindings on specific aircraft itâs generally not meaning all aircraft generic bindings but all the custom stuff only the particular aircraft needs. You wonât see the effect of that if you only have a few generic bindings.
Thanks! The install finally worked without intervention.
I understand. But for 99.9% of the default and addon aircraft in MSFS 2020 or 2024, you can create bindings for landing gear, flaps, trim, heading and altitude bugs, autopilot functions, etc⌠depending on how many buttons/switches you have on your hardware, and that will work on all the planes. The only things that change from aircraft to aircraft is where you want to look- your custom camera views (if you want more than the MSFS default vierws). So far, I have not needed ANY airplane specific bindings for systems or cockpit switches. Even if someone just uses the keyboard, the same things apply.
I tried installing (downloading) a few planes initially but saw no advantage visually or performance-wise, so I now just let them stream. This is assuming good internet coverage. For someone with questionable internet I can see the advantage of installing stuff. I still have no clue as to why it would affect any previous control profile or bindings.
What a great aircraft. I havenât flown it for a while but came back after the update and it is excellent. Highly recommend.
Speaking of bindings- has anyone figured out the EFIS control bindings?
I havenât flown the Citation X in a while but I was never able to track down inputs for most of the PFD/EICAS or the controls situated just above the PFD. I suspect that some of these may use default proline variables but I never tested that theory before moving on to other planes. Curious if anyone else has had any luck.
What a tremendous update. The immersion factor alone is incredible. My only other third-party aircraft is the TBM 850, and I know itâs a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison, but it still doesnât come close to the bells and whistles this jet offers.
There was an âextensiveâ wait for this update. It was well worth it and then some.
