I have tested the Cessna 414 heating system and found out that the heating power seem to be not powerful enough. When flying in Alaska the cabin only had 16° or 18°C.
Fan set to high, cabin circulation instead of fresh air from outside, and all heaters maxed out and all heating vents open. Cooler (the cooler setting seems to be the freon air conditioning because the temp is going down very fast when turning the knob to the right) is off.
Is there something wrong with my heating settings? I know that some cheap build cars (especially old oversized Diesels) have a very bad heating system that cannot cope with temperatures of -15°C and deeper, but when seeing these Continental O6 engines glow under the hood I assume they are hot enough to make the cabin cozy ![]()
