My only other complaint next to the cabin temp is the QNH unit, it is linked to your MSFS unit setting (US, metric, hybrid). I wish it just showed both hPa and inHg (like Black Square aircraft!) or it had a toggle in the EFB.
I don’t want to keep changing my MSFS unit system if I fly in Europe or where ever they use hPa.
100% agree. It would of been sensible to just have an altimeter with both for the sim. They exist IRL so not at all un-realistic. Having it tied to the units is just silly.
anyone ever had the problem that quickviews are stuck? when looking left with quickview left, camera doesnt reset to default when released. quickview right and others works fine (quickview 45 left and 120 left also work). only happeny in the 414. any help appreciated as its really annoying…I have to press another quickview button and release it again to get to default camera position.
edit: problem solved itself after reinstall?!
I have no Idea what exactly fixed it, I reset camera settings to default and reinstalled the 414, now the camera snaps back again as it should. I think I already was on the latest version before but not sure.
You can try a “restart” of the flight when the avionics screens do not show (don’t show the boot sequence) after even you waited for a short while. That usually works for me (XBox X).
Sorry for stating the obvious, but you need to have your own GTN750 for it to work, either the TDS GTN750Xi ot the PMS50 GTN750 for MSFS. It doesn’t come with the 414 (EDIT: Apparently it does, see Scorpion’s comment below).
If you’re on Xbox and can’t download the free PMS50 GTN750, you need to buy one of the other two, if they are available on the Marketplace (I’m on PC).
I confirm
Today I purchased the one year license to test it and it works well
the only limitation for me, being on xbox s, is the avionics screens that go black when I operate on medium complex third party airports but it is a known problem
I purchased this from the MSFS Marketplace last week, and have tried repeatedly, with various liveries but without any success, to mount/open the EFB tablet. When I click on the mount area, nothing happens at all. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks.
Thanks for the response. I’ve tried many times clicking on the camera, but nothing happens, which is strange because my mouse works everywhere else in the cockpit.
If you have lens correction on try turning it off and see if that fixes it. It can affect click spots. Does your icon change when you hover over the bezel?
If I wait a short while, the avionics will boot up and I can select any function other than the “Map” icon. If I select the “Map” icon the screens shutdown and reboot, however this then becomes a rinse and repeat situation. Pretty frustrating as I love the aircraft and think that this avionics package would make it so much more enjoyable to fly.
