Flysimware Cessna 414A

Yeah I have done a restart and also a reboot of the console and sim.

This is incorrect for Xbox.

You must choose a PMS50 livery and the free PMS50 is built in. You can subscribe to the full version from there if you wish. And you can type your code into the GPS to unlock full features.

There is no way (yet) to buy the PMS50 or GTN750 separately on Xbox.

Finally got this to work, I had to slew to a less complex airport other than my regular, it is a very well done GPS in general, but I found that it caused very bad LOD problems the likes that I haven’t seen before, such as runway textures popping in in sections on approach and extremely bad AI aircraft and vehicles at airports. When I changed aircraft at that all went away without rebooting or resetting modem etc.

Flying this bird after a long hiatus. and first thing I noticed was, I can’t get the overhead light to turn off. I spin the black knob and the light dims for a second, but then comes right back on full strength. Doesn’t matter which way you spin the knob, the light always turns back on.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Did you check to see if the door light switch is on? If it is, that might what is causing the issue..

no, wasn’t aware of that light. i’ll check it out, thanks

It seems the only way to toggle the units of the barometric pressure is by changing the ‘Units’ setting in the misc tab of the MSFS settings.

Metric = hPa, US = inHg, Hybrid = hPa.

This means that everything from alt, dist, weight, temperature changes. So if I fly in the US, I need the US setting, if I fly in Europe I need the hybrid or metric setting. I change continent on a daily basis so this gets annoying. Especially since I don’t want any of the other units change as well!

I don’t understand at all why there isn’t a simple toggle either in the EFB or in the gauge itself. Dissapointed with that. Pointed it out on their discord a few times but it seems I am the only one that bothers this because other people don’t change continent so often.

Most likely due to how hard it would be to program. Perhaps there’s no easy way to check what units the interface is using on boot, so it can get out of sync. Just guessing here.

It’s because it’s tied into the sim unit system. Some other devs just bypass that. The best bet is to just fit an altimeter with dual mb and InHg drums. You are not the only one who’s complained about this quirk and some from a long time back now. There is a wishlist item to split the individual unit choices so you can set each one rather than have them grouped. I’d like Hybrid but it just doesn’t have the correct mix. Once we can make our own Hybrid it will be much better. Would not solve this though. That’s on the dev.

I fail to see why it would be hard to program. Almost every payware plane can do this, from Carenado planes to Black Square planes to A2A, SWS PC-12, FlyingIron warbirds, JustFlight, …, they all have dual unit pressure gauges with an easy way to switch. If so many developers are able to program this, why FSW not then?

There must be a fair few inches to Hpa or vice versa charts around on the web. Print one off, laminate if you can for longevity and then stuff whatever gets thrown up by the sim, you should be good to go I would have thought.

I saw an update for the FSW 414 drop in the FS2020 Marketplace. FSW’s website must the most convoluted site in the flightsim world when it comes to finding a change log. Anyone know where to find it?

I see there’s an update today, too. I’d like to know what the change log lists before I proceed to download it. But, like you, I can’t seem to find it. I wonder if it’s included only as part of the download? It would be nice to know ahead of time what are the changes.

Update: It’s on their Discord channel. Here’s the information I found:

@C414AW Info @C414AW Chancellor V4.5.1 is now available at the FLYSIMSTORE… Flysimware Simulation Software - Digital store Simmarket tomorrow and MP Thursday Nov 7th.

And it is very nice indeed! Thank you for building such a nice add-on!

I thought that in FS2020 Market Place, if you click on the rectangle on the RH side of the bar it gives you the change log for that product.
