Flysimware Cessna 414A

I believe it does and there are patches on their Discord server to use the PMS GTN-750

mine didn’t show up in 2024
should it?

This post just reminded me that I haven’t seen it either, but yes it should…thinking about it I haven’t seen my DCS F14 either…

Still waiting for this to show, amongst a few other aircraft. The Sierra shows for me but the 414 and Lear are MIA.

I assume MS will release them back to us once they have passed their QA

There seems to be a lot of 2020 content that hasn’t made its way to 2024. Developers are also reporting that content they hadn’t approved for release to 2024, has been released anyway. So there’s no rhyme or reason to the updates. For me only the DHC4 Caribou is still missing from 2024.

The good news is that the 414 looks pretty good in 2024 and FSW have released small patch to help things along, for users who didn’t buy from the marketplace. I have converted and released all my Lear 35 liveries in 2024 format and am working on updating all my 414 liveries. The 2020 versions mostly worked anyway, and the update just did some structure changes for future proofing and to fix a few missing 2024 specific thumbnails.

Well that’s another AC that I am missing, I’m going to have to arc up 2020 and see what else I have missing, I think the Jabaru as well.

Is there an easy way to identify which aircraft are Market place purchases and which are third party a/c in MS2020?

The planes are too good for 2024. Must use Asobo default aircraft and you will be happy!

could it be developers that actually care if their aircraft works or is a total wreck? maybe it was them that didnt clear them for 2024.. on purpose

Normally I don’t like to cross post, but the 414 and 35A are both listed here as compatible. Wondering if that is in fact the case, and if so, for MP customers on Xbox as well or just PC?

Just curious did the 414 just automatically arrive in 24 for you? I still haven’t got it and have even tried copying over the files from 2020 to 24 community folder but it still doesn’t show up in game. Same with 310.

I didn’t buy it from the marketplace, so was a local install on my PC. I copied it across from my 2020 community folder. Flysimware has released a small patch for 2024 use.

I have the MP version of the 414 and have the same situation as you…it doesn’t shoiw up in 24 even if files with the patch are copied from the 20 to 24 version.

So, compatible in this case still falls under the all of the cautions in that thread of potentially haivng bugs, but in this case my inclusion of the 414 and 35A into that list were based on compatibility patches posted on the developer’s Discord. Go to Channels & Roles to give yourself the appropriate roles or you won’t see those messages in #product-updates. I can’t vouch for how well the addons work with said patches, though. I’ll do some testing tonight, but I have versions bought through them rather than the Marketplace.

For MP, they state “MARKETPLACE STORE:
These patches might work for those who purchsed from the MarketPlace store. But you have to wait until it gets added to your content manager as the Microsoft team is slowly moving the products to 2024. The patch needs to be dropped where the product is located in the 2024 sim, not the community folder.”

Same boat. Can’t wait to get back in my glorious Chancellor!

Why wait? Fly it in 2020!

Had blind faith and deleted 2020 (Xbox). Could reinstall 2020 but overall I’m enjoying 2024. I’m sure my favourites (Chancellor, 146, Arrow and RJ) will be along soon

Flew the 404 a few times and while it is short of the 414AW, it is fun to fly all the same.

As an FYI to any non-MP purchasers, I bought my 414 at the FlySimWare store, and I just copied the folder from the 2020 Community folder into the 2024 Community folder, dropped the patch in (available on their Discord Channel) installed the the PMS GTN750 2024 compatible file, and everything seems to work great in FS2024. I usually use the TDS GTN750, but they’re working on their 2024 version.
