Tags
Tags are a way of grouping posts that have similar topics. Once you reach Trust Level 1 you can tag your own topics. If a tag isn’t available and you wish one to be added, please send a direct message to @moderators
A full list of tags can be found here. Here is an overview of the important ones:

| dev-update | Used on the weekly update and discussion threads released each Thursday | Staff Only |
| release-notes | Used on topics which hold release notes for new MSFS updates. | Staff Only |
| pc | Used for topics that relate specifically to the PC platform. Note that there is also ms-store and steam | - |
| xbox | Used on topics that relate specifically to the Xbox S|X platform | - |
| xcloud | Used on topics that relate to the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform. | - |
| feedback-logged | A Community Feedback is logged in our database, and our test team is working to reproduce the issue. Note: If the feedback is verified as a bug, the thread’s tag will be changed for “Bug logged” | Staff Only |
| bug-logged | The issue reported by the community has been successfully reproduced by our test team and turned into an official bug. The bug is now being assigned, prioritized, and worked on for a future fix. | Staff Only |
| investigating | The team is aware of an issue and currently investigating | Staff Only |
| need-your-help | Unable to reproduce, need further information | Staff Only |
| workaround | A workaround is available | Staff Only |
| fixed-on-live | The issue previously reported is now fixed on the current version of the SIM | Staff Only |
| by-design | The developers have looked at the issue and have stated this is by design in the sim | Staff Only |
Platform Tags - PC & Xbox
When creating topics in specific categories (such as Bug Reporting Hub) you may be required to add one or more tags. Please add the tag for the platform you are using. The options are ms-store steam xbox and xcloud
I encourage you to use these tags in all areas of the forums.
Find Posts using Tags
You can filter posts based on a specific tag using the ‘All Tags’ dropdown on the category page, as well as the Latest, New, Unread and Top feed pages.
Alternatively, you can view all posts with a specific tag by visiting the tag page. This can be done by clicking on a tag assigned to a post, or a tag listed on the Tags Page.
Notification Settings (using tags)
To set the default tracking status of a post based on tags, go to your Tag Notification Preferences page:
- Click on your profile picture on the navbar
- Double click on the user icon in the menu that opens after completing step one
- Click ‘Preferences’
- Click ‘Tracking’
- Scroll down to “Tags” to change settings
