Hi!

After I released MSFS Community Downloader, a lot of folks asked me if I could support flightsim.to and other addons websites.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t possible due to the lack of API and other limitations, but I had one idea to provide nevertheless a tool to automate the addons download and installation process. :smirk:

And that’s how WindSailor was born:

Basically, it’s a web-browser that will automatically:

  • Download an addon
  • Unzip it
  • Clean the previous version of it
  • And Install it

It’s also compatible with MSFS Addons linker if you are a user of it, just check the proper option on the first launch. :slight_smile:

Thanks for developing the tool. I use it daily for downloading new sceneries and it’s working great!

I wish it would automatically categorize sceneries by country in the folder structure but I imagine that can be difficult with sceneries that encompass multiple regions such as I love VFR. For now I have one folder per country and I manually chose install location for each download.

Someone made a video tutorial about WindSailor, it can help to understand the advanced feature of the tool. :slight_smile:
