FS Realistic was just released

Has anyone tried it in VR? What was the experience?

Got the upgrade and will try it out in VR later tonight. If I get time, too much going on these days.

I stopped using the Core version, because it was a pain to manage separate profiles for each of my 50+ planes. It really needs Master controls on a Master Tab. There are a lot of effects I just hate and call FS Unrealistic. I’m the only one in the plane, I yell ā€œClear Propā€, not some rando dude. First time startled the hell out of me and I’ve hated it ever since. All the coughing and sneezing. I’m the only one here!!! Just unrealistic. Passengers cheering when I’m in a single seat jet. They just didn’t curate their defaults before release.

I was copy/pasting profile to profile. But you need to launch each plane to get a profile started.

But those camera movements look to good. So, back to launching and copy/pasting.

**** NOTE: Disregard my complaints, the problem was on my end, no features were lost, a simple update fixed it. Sorry for the undue whining. ****

So wait… Those of us that bought this last year, have now lost half the features it had before and have to now pay more money to get them back? That’s an insult if I ever saw one. I’m usually on the developers side but come on. Am I missing something here??

I double checked just before I posted this. None of the description nor adverts said they were taking any features away from core when 2.0 was released. Even a promo video posted to the site showed features that are now lost. Bravo.

Just used VR in the Cessna 414 and P-38. Obviously, turned off sounds I didn’t like before starting

New Camera affects are awesome, really add to it. BUTTT, definitely need to tune some things down for VR. Engine start movements really move the planes too much. But number one, I brought Turbulence Movement down to 10. I like the movement and these are small planes that, in reality, would lift you out of your seat. But in VR, without actually moving or feeling the effect on your weight is a bit vomit inducing.

Overall though, the camera movements adds a lot to the experience.

You can copy form other profiles I believe. But you’d still need to do that once for each aircraft.

I have a question, with FSRealistic installed do I need to change the default MSFS sounds in the options menu or do I leave them? I am noticing like two sounds playing, the FSRealistic sounds and then MSFS default sounds

Compared with ā€˜Core’ what features have now been dropped?

It seems to be on the the Just Flight website now, but I can’t find where it gives you an upgrade path?

I think you’re supposed to leave the sim sounds as they are. FSrealistic just sits on top and adds detail where it’s needed. It does require fine tuning though for sure.

I’m having the same issue. Not sure it’s automatic like simmarket but at least with simmarket, they mention it in the description.

I think JF normally give us a code with a link for money of the new product from the old product, hopefully they do that asap.

I’m not comfortable with camera movements in VR. The feeling is that my seat moves and not the plane.

You should get an email from JF with a discount code. Presumably you enter this on purchase and hopefully the final damage will be only £5. I would check the final cost first to make sure you are happy before pressing the trigger. The precise instructions should be in the email from JF.

I will probably upgrade from the core version some tine today and will apply the discount code as emailed.

I got my message from SimMarket. After login I purchased the Pro version, and the discount was automatically applied to the basket, as it knew I had purchased the Core already.

Just checked my email, and the discount code has arrived, thanks.

Check your emails. I got one from JF with a code.

It simply does not work in vr. The effect is worthless.
I don’t get all the hype about this product.
The camera movement is a total immersion killer.
reverb g2, 6dof motion sim, buttkicker…

I think I read they had worked some low frequency sounds specifically for buttkicker devices, I wondered if anyone can compare if this is better than the SimShaker software?

I must admit, I wasnt impressed with the Core product. As mentioned earlier, a lot of the sounds I just found corny and immersion breakers. For the upgrade price I’ve decided to purchase the Pro version and will be testing later on a bush flight. Fingers crossed that its better than core.

Perhaps the hype is from the 90%+ users that don’t use VR?
