I hadn’t tried the original version but I just got the free trial today for the Pro version , I fly VR 100%, the camera movement had me feeling sick after a few minutes. It felt like my first few days in VR trying to find my feet. ![]()
It works great for everything but human/pilot related effects in VR.
Landing gear/engine rumble/wind noise etc etc.
Not sure why anyone would expect the human camera effects to work hand in hand with wearing a VR HMD with 6 DOF tracking. They were obviously designed for 2D pancake enhancement.
I was mislead by the manufacturers statement.
“VR support is official (camera movements, not UI window in VR)”
They should of stated “VR support is official(but it does not work in VR)”
Anyone know when the new version releases
On just flight?(I got the original one from there
So want the discount!)
Update :just found the link in my
Email-do u need to uninstall the old version firtst?
For those who purchased FSRealistic at Just Flight, an email was sent, so you should have received an email, if you purchased it there.
Maybe check your spam folder or contact Just Flight for your personal discount.
I didn’t know what to expect to be fair, I saw or read nothing from the devs or anyone else before I tried this regarding it being ‘obviously designed for 2D pancake enhancement’.
No harm done, that’s the point of the trial.
I concur after a brief cub flight. The disconnect of aircraft and hmd is disconcerting.
Mine was in my spam folder……
Do you need to install over the top of the old version or do u need to delete it first?
you should be able to upgrade, see details here.
Will this be available in the Marketplace? Kinda nice to have auto updates through the game.
the only thing available on Core now are the premade profiles. There are 4 options in the settings tab as opposed to the 30+ it was before. In the original ad for the program, it very clearly shows all of those 30+ options, in which it let you choose all the difference sounds and effects as the “PRO” does now. Now I get to have whatever they give me.
Bad way to do business IMHO. I’m still hoping that someone tells me I’m mistaken and looking in the wrong place, but… so far, crickets. I guess that’s exactly what they’re doing.
this is what I bought and had available when I first installed it.
this is what I have now.
like I said. hopefully i’ve done something wrong. but I can’t figure it out.
You need to have the sim running and sitting in an aircraft for the other tabs/options to appear.
I have tried that, but maybe I need to update it, it just always says “connected, please start a flight” I’ll try updating/reinstalling FSR tomorrow.
everyone just assume I’m the problem for now. ![]()
Thank you for the reply but I think there is something wrong maybe on your end. Maybe it’s not connecting to sim? What screen do you get on the ‘Connection’ tab?
Hope you get it sorted ![]()
You can also try running the program as administrator or installing it somewhere else besides “program files”.
What an amazing addition to our beloved Sim I This has got to be the most immersive experience to date and we thank you for FSR’s efforts to bring realism to MSFS 2020.
The interaction of Screaming doomed passengers is hilarious.
Thanks and Kind Regards from us .
Got it yesterday and the touchdown effect alone is worth the package, not to mention the rest. Love it!
This is what I have without the sim running:
This is with the sim launched:
This is what it looks like with a flight started.
So you clearly didn’t have a flight running in those shots as far as I can see.
I just ran the upgrade to Pro, and the interface itself doesn’t look any different.
I’m using the 2.0 7-day trial and it’s impressive, but there’s plenty of room for improvement. It took me a while to get the sound levels right between the MSFS sound settings and FSR. I wish their manual had provided some guidance on that.
Flying my 310R with realism and faults on, I had both engines sputter and cut out at 8000’, but my cabin passengers continued their chatter as the plane went into a death spiral. They screamed only after hitting the ground and then gave me a round of applause. LOL.
I did notice that some of the sounds don’t cut out or diminish when done taxying and parking. Going through my final checklist with the plane parked, the cabin was still creaking and there was still some type of ambient wind noise.
All in all, a worthwhile investment. I will convert my trial to a purchase for sure.
