It disables eye tracking and enables head tracking.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
Crash everytime

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

With my steam install it was here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\343016765\2537590\remote

With opentrack installed it did not work at all. I uninstalled opentrack and Tobii works perfectly in game.

Thanks. I much prefer this to the opentrack solution.

Awesome workaround.

And as a quick tip, if you still have FS2020 installed you can use this workaround in the FS2020 directory - C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8weky*******\SystemAppData\wgs\ - To see your old axis settings to copy accross

• I do not think you need a video. Just try it for yourself

My Tobii file configuration for most eye tracking:
30 — EYE VS HEAD RATIO
35 — EYE RESPONSIVENESS
25 – HEAD SENSITIVITY
30 — CENTER STABIBLAZTION
90 – HEAD ROLL SENSITIVITY
90 — HEAD POSITION SENSITIVITY
0 — WHAT IS THIS, LOL

Can anyone confirm, that the OpenTrack workaround does not mess up your MSFS 2020 experience, if you decided to keep 2020 around until 2024 is fixed to an acceptable state? Anything I need to be aware of when setting this up?

Eye tracking is (annoyingly) trying to work. When I first used Tobii I quickly found out that eye tracking is so much better when switched off!!
Yes it does CTD when you poke the settings bear with a stick!!

Has anyone been able to get their Z axis to work? (Lean forwarded = zoom in, lean back = zoom out)
From my understanding that was Axis 6 and you just toggle between 0 and 1 but makes no difference.

You have to set this Checkbox
Then all is fine in 2020

For me it seems not to work

If i go into that folder there is no XML file

I found the file and put in the same values i had in 2020, but there is no change in the movement

Great - thanks for the heads up, mate! Will try that then until Asobo can fix this officially.

Great workaround! Note that if you use your 2020 values, any values of 100 or more are reduced by a factor of 100, so you will need to multiply those by 100. Working great!

Here are my personal settings:

The 0 is for Auto Centering. The values are 0 for off and 1 for on.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: TOBII being used. (1) When trying to set sensitivity of IR Tracking, an immediate CTD as the config page is opened, (2) IR Tracking enable/disable is inoperative in Camera settings. IR Tracking remains enabled.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Community add-ons not used at all, yet.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Using C172 G1000 in sim (but happens for all that I’ve tried).
  2. Take off. [ESC], then Settings Icon, TOBII to adjust sensitivity.
  3. As soon as the Hardware Settings screen chosen, CTD.
  4. You are aware that none of the control sensitivity settings are working aren’t you?

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant: TOBII eye tracker, A320 Airbus joystick, Thrustmaster rudder pedals.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No to both. Vanilla setup, and the only thing I’ve done is reduce the overall resolution so my computer doesn’t heat the room up.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12? Whatever the sim default is.

[PC Only] Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version: NVidia RTX 3080

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring. I’m not sure how that will help. Can you request it from me if you need it? It’s only going to show MSFS there one second and gone the next.
